    in Religion

    This evening's guests are

Gospel recording artist, The James Patterson
    Kelli Bolton - Author

    The James Patterson
In 2011 Patterson nearly lost his life. Almost 150 pounds overweight; he was hospitalized due to complications with diabetes.  Realizing he was called by God he knew there was greater work to do. With the support and encouragement of family, his artistry was birthed.

    Kelli Bolton
In 2000, Kelli received a prophetic word concerning writing, and in 2001 that she did just that. In March 2009 Kelli was inspired to write a book about teen dating and domestic violence after the incident between young Hollywood’s hottest couple. Through Kelli, God is showing young people what real “love” looks like in her book “You Said You Loved Me”. In 2012 she released her second novel “Church Gossip” and is currently in production with the film version of the book.

How to Pray for Evil Rulers

    in Spirituality

How to Pray for Evil Rulers [LIVE call -in show for Thursday 04/23/15]

Scripture tells us to pray for our national and regional leaders. In fact, it's rather detailed about how and why to do this. But I sometimes hear this from Christians: "How can I pray for this man who's in office now? I can't stand him, and he's doing a terrible job!"  Yet 2000 years ago, the Apostle Paul writes "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life ..." (I Tim. 2:1-2)

Now in case your wondering how and why you should pray for our current leaders, and how you can possibly offer God thanks for them, keep in mind who ruled the Roman Empire at the time that Paul wrote this: it was Nero and his appointed henchmen. (You've heard of Nero, haven't you, dear Christian?) Nero was preceded by Claudius and by Emperor Caligula. Look up Caligula on the Internet for some perspective on the evil of our national leaders today. This was the time in which Paul wrote.

So what's your verdict, Christian?  Are the Scriptures irrelevant here? Or had St. Paul gone "soft in the head" when he wrote this? How and why should we pray and be thankful for our national leaders today? Tune in and take note! Your host is Rev. Rick Anderson, on "Jewish Roots", each Thursday at 9:30 pm DST. To call with a question or comment: 347-324-5759 on www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew.

    A Conversation with Munch-Dog

    in Hip Hop Music

Munch-Dog’s interest in music began as a young man growing up in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, when he heard two prominent hip hop stars-- “2pac” and “Scarface.” Their gifts, talents, and passion were expressed in a real way that could be related to, understood, and felt deeply by audiences of varied status, culture, and ethnicity.

With this inspiration, in 1993, he started freestyling. He would spend time practicing in his bedroom alone, and with his
group of friends. They quickly became some of the best freestylist in their area.

In 2000, Munch-Dog, Izy-O and two other members decided to form the rap click and record label “K.O.A.” (Knowing Our Aim). They made three mixed tapes and a compilation album. With the help of producers, “JT” and “Stretch” they became known for their lyrical ability and music beats. Performing all over the DMV with fellow KOA member “Relentlezz Dre” they became known for their stage presence and ability to draw a crowd.

In 2008, Munch-Dog embarked upon his solo career. He has accomplished the following:

    • Recorded and released on iTunes, his first solo album, “Finally Here”
    • Has opened up for artists such as: David Banner, Knowledge (from the Grammy award winning group, “Diggable Planets”), and more
    • Recorded his
first music video-- “Baby Let me Know,” with the three time, DMV award winning, Skinny
    Corleone

Munch-Dog's New Mixtape "Nobody's Safe...Vol 1" is dropping this spring. with the 2 lead singles "Beat The Block" & "Everything"

Love Liberty & Lip Gloss with Glamour Model Abigail Rich

    in Lifestyle

Abigail Rich returns to Love Liberty & Lip Gloss on April 23 at 7 p.m. Eastern:

Abigail was born in Dallas Texas and abandoned by her mother when she was only two months old. She grew up with foster families until she was 17 years old. All through her school years she knew that she wanted to help people. She became a Paramedic right out of high school and quickly moved up to flight medic on a air ambulance helicopter. In the early 2000’s, she was working on the medical helicopter when it crashed. Abigail was critically injured and had to undergo three lifesaving surgeries receiving over 400 stitches and over 200 staples as well as numerous steel plates for her broken bones. The doctors told her family that she would not survive. After 6 weeks in the intensive care unit, Abigail proved them wrong when she woke up. Then after another 3 months she walked out of the Hospital on her own. After her recovery, Abigail concluded that life is too short and she wanted to still help people and show them that they can overcome life’s hurtles. At the same time, she intended to enjoy her precious gift of life.

Through an odd twist of fate, Abigail became a professional Glamour Model. Abigail has worked as a trade show model, modeled at fashion shows, even as a spokes model promoting products and services, to becoming an Internationally published Glamour Model.

Blackhawks Try To Make Predators Extinct, Bulls Head to Milwaukee, Bears #7 Pick

    in Sports

After an epic triple overtime victory that didn't end until 1:17 AM Wednesday morning, the Blackhawks head to Nashville to try to close out their first round series versus the Predators.  Rookie goaltender Scott Darling continued to shine in Game 4, making 50 saves on 52 shots faced.  He gets the start again in Game 5, while head coach Joel Quenneville continues to play with varying lines on offense.  The NFL Draft is one week from today, and Bears fans are still debating about who the Bears will take with the #7 overall pick.  Will it be a wide receiver? Defensive lineman? Linebacker? Will they trade up to take a quarterback in an attempt to replace the ever-hated Jay Cutler?  The Bulls continue their first round series with the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, trying to take a 3-0 lead at the Bradley Center where Bulls fans will try to take over and turn it into another home game. The Bulls be without rookie phenom Nikola Mirotic, who was injured during some physical plays in Game 2.  Who will step up and fill the void, who will be the star for the Bulls in Game 3? Derrick Rose looks to bounce back from a poor shooting performance in Game 2.  All this and your phone calls at (347) 327-9183!
