The Stylistics were the perfect example of the term 'Sweet Soul', during the early Seventies.
Their association with Thom Bell and Linda Creed produced some of Soul Music's finest songs covering the previous half century. They were originally formed by the merging of certain members of the two Philadelphia based groups, The Percussions and The Monarchs.
They Stylistics have become one of the best-loved and longest enduring R & B in the world. Join us for a great time of conversation and music.
Today’s show is dedicated to poet and writer Ms. Emily Dickinson, whose works have been enjoyed for over a century.

What does it take to make art now at the level of Renaissance Art? Why is it important to do so? Join us as artist Virgil Elliott talks about painting, drawing, music, technique, and teaching.
Painter/writer Virgil Elliott (born 1944) is best known as the author of the book, Traditional Oil Painting: advanced techniques and concepts from the Renaissance to the present, published in 2007 by Watson-Guptill Publications. Acknowledged as a Living Master by the Art Renewal Center, among the many honors and awards he has received over the years, Virgil is widely recognized as an expert on historic oil painting techniques and oil painting materials of the past and present. He has written and published articles on the working methods and/or lives of Rembrandt, Titian, Frans Hals, Artemisia Gentileschi, and the 19th Century French artist William Bouguereau, among other things. He taught oil painting at the College of Marin, in Marin County, California for a few years, and has taught privately since 1982.
He has been an active participant/member of ASTM International’s Subcommittee on Artists’ Paints and Materials since 1997, which experience has broadened his knowledge of artists’ materials considerably and has made him the acquaintance of many experts in the field, including top-level conservation scientists from major museums, from whom he says he has learned a great deal over the years.
Virgil Elliott keeps a studio in California’s Wine Country, where he paints, teaches and writes, and lives with his wife, singer/actress Annie Lore. From time to time he has “moonlighted” as a musician, playing guitar and Renaissance lute, both as a solo instrumentalist and occasionally as accompanist to various vocalists. He feels that music and visual art complement one another.

If John is up to it, we may even do a few readings on the air.
John Cassidy Medium, Paranormal Investigator. Growing up John would often see things or hear things he didn't understand and would pass it off as imagination. It wasn't until the late 90's when he really started thinking about it after his first "read" of a friend. It was much different than anything he has experienced before. This is when he began to research ghosts and spirit. He learned from his mother that John's Grandmother was very spiritual and was a Medium and Psychic. Over the years he was able to begin to tune his ability and learned he could provide help for people and give them messages from the other side. John has also helped many with his Empathic abilities by being able to feel the emotions and feelings they feel and helped them move past situations that hold them back in life. After seeing the new TV shows about ghost hunting which really peaked his interest in the paranormal. John and his wife Jackie, began to investigate buildings, businesses and cemeteries and then residences. Joined by their friend Teri Mantei they went on to form Bumps in the Night Paranormal Research.
