Jesse interviews Kevin Baird - creator of the NuCompanion. Kevin has been involved in the metaphysical and paranormal arenas for decades. He is a psychic medium, spirit communicator, and has created the Horizon Oracle Journeys Deck - a divination deck for seeing life processes. The NuCompanion is a device that reacts to magnetic fields that are out of the ordinary. Kevin has developed this as a means for being able to communicate with spirits and energies in our Earth Plane. He sees it as a way to monitor energy activity. We will be looking at Kevin's work with the NuCompanion. You can learn more about this work at www.nucompanion.com

Our next guest is Blues legend Bill Phillippe. Bill has spent the last twenty years playing guitar and singing all over the San Francisco bay area. During that time, he could be seen or heard in some neighborhood tavern, hipster cafe, jazz lounge, blues club, The Fillmore poster room or on a late Sunday night preaching to the faithful at the Boom Boom Room on Fillmore street. After ten years covering deep New Orleans funk, three CD releases (Ascended Masters of the Order of the Tantric FOnk-2003, FOnk-2008 and FOnkOlOgy-2011) and generous press accolades, Bill turned his attention to the origination of his thirty year musical odyssey, Delta Blues. In early 2012 Bill embarked upon a musical journey channeling the music of Blind Willie Johnson, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and Mississippi John Hurt, along with traditional New Orleans tunes and songs by contemporary giants like Tom Waits in a solo guitar format. Bill has been a previous guest with A Kind Voice and we are excited to have him return to share what's new with him and his fabulous music!

CALL IN FAVORITE ABENA STORIES...DON"T BE SHY...SHE WOULD"NT BE!
FRIDAY, JULY 31 ,2015....11;PM-11:30PM CST
Abena Joan Brown, one of the early pioneers of African-American theater in Chicago and the president and chief executive officer of the eta Creative Arts Foundation for 40 years, died on Sunday. She was 87.
Articulate, passionate and intimidating to behold, Brown ran eta with uncompromising determination and old-fashioned formality, shepherding the organization to new facilities in an old window factory on S. South Chicago Avenue, near the corner of 75th Street, and always pushing for further growth
As Brown often said in interviews, her impetus for starting eta was her own inability to find work as an artist: Its precursor was founded in 1969 by Brown, alongside Okoro Harold Johnson, Al Johnson and Archie Weston.
Operating initially under the name Ebony Talent Associates, the group wanted to increase exposure and opportunities for African-American actors in Chicago. But Brown found that more training was needed for those actors, and thus eta was born.
Hr1 Useless facts, like... Did you know a porcupine floats in water?
Jobs report. Yep, still no good. More layoffs.
Xander Gibb brings a little Xandermonium to the show. Liberals, Cecil the Lion, abortion, Planned Parenthood, word police, and political correctness run amok.
Hr2 University indoctrination? Do you know what your kids are learning? Trust me, it's anti-American. Steven Crowder does man-on-the-street.
Politicizing comic book heros. Superman says #blacklivesmatter. Iceman and Green Lantern are gay. Really? Can't we just let kids be kids? Political indoctrination.
Discrimination: Indian restaurant fined for trying to hire Indian waiter. Oh the horror!
Hr3 President of the National Organization for Women (NOW) Terry O'Neill says, "Moms love Planned Parenthood."
Feminist man embraces open marriage for his wife. Further erosion of the marriage foundation. I guess marriage "vows" don't really matter if you change your mind.
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!

This episode is about the 'truth' and how people react when they hear it. How we should act when we hear the truth, and if it is presented publicly and shames us what is to be expected. We must oblige ourselves in learning how to move foreward in our lives to be more Christ-like and to in so doing assist our leaders as well. Truth is a two-way street.
