    in Politics

    Tonight we

will discuss further the meaning of self hatred and what it has done to the Black Movement of Independence in America.  The damage is irrefutable and sustaining so much so that it is one of the main causes of the break down in the Black Family that is creating so many single family house holds. That can neither maintain the children who suffer in silence nor the men and women who attempt this life of Blasphemy against the true command of the God of the Universe. “ A rereading of NOBODY KNOW MY NAME  cannot help but convince the most avid of Baldwin’s admires of the hatred for blacks permeating (from) his writings. In the essay “PRINCESS AND POWERS” Baldwin’s interpretation of the conference of Black Writers and Artist which met in Paris in September 1956.  The portrait  of Baldwin that comes through his words is that of a mind in unrelenting opposition to the efforts of solemn, dedicated black m who have undertaken the enormous task of rejuvenating and reclaiming the shattered psyches and culture of the black people, a people scattered over the continents of the world and the islands of the seas, where they exist in the mud of the floor of the foul dungeon into which the world has been transformed by the whites." Eldridge Cleaver.  Our beloved leader Huey P. Newton says this about the homosexual groups.  "We should try to form working coalition with the gay liveration and women's liberation groups. We must always handle social forces inthe most appropriate manner."

On Why Yet's Watch with Ceet the Author and Kvn Tajzea

    in Books

Ceet the Author hails from South Philadelphia, where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At age fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class titled, Summertime in my Neighborhood. Fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet's first official release, 2009's The Whore and The Virgin. The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, A Dog's Day, that very same year.

Ceet then began pursuing another passion of his, filmmaking and videography in 2010 by writing, producing and directing several independent film projects while releasing several more novels under the imprint of BRP Entertainment and with several projects down the line, Ceet shows no signs of slowing down...

Kvn Tajzea (Keh-vun Tah- Jhay) is more than your typical R&B singer, songwriter and actor. Kvn began his love affair with music and acting at a very young age. "I was a very sick child growing up and nearly died a few times. I wasn'treally allowed to play outside until the age of 7 because my immune system was so weak." He read, listened to, and watched a plethora of varying artistic expression. Even after becoming healthy enough to lead the normal life of a kid his passion for the arts continued to grow and manifested itself in a variety of ways ranging from poetry, drawing, songwriting and acting. Kvn is an accomplished vocalist with a four octave range whose smooth, syrupy and comforting voice conceals an old school rasp that lets you in on the pain and tribulation that fuels a tone of hope in every note he sings. "The First Return" is Kvn's debut project featuring the production of hit maker Ron Love of MonaRK Productions.

Join me, Why Yet, as I chat it up with both of these industrious artists.

    See ya,

Paranormal Kool-Aid: November ends, the story continues: Virginia Carraway Stark

    in Paranormal

NaNoWriMo is quickly coming to an end.  Even if we haven't met the deadline, Belinda and I will continue with our writings! Tonight we are lucky to speak with Virginia Carraway Stark! She has a diverse portfolio and has been writing professionally for nearly a decade, including screenplays, novels, articles, blogs, and travel journalism in her portfolio. She works with other writers, artists and poets to hone her talents and to offer encouragement and insight to others. She has been screened at Cannes Film Festival for her screenplay, “Blind Eye” which was followed by The Mystical Adventures of Billy Owens and two sequels after that. She was nominated for an Aurora Award for her creative writing in 2013.

Most of all, Virginia is an explorer. The world of writing and the research that goes with each new project is what keeps her excited about each new project. She approaches everything she does with enthusiasm, dedication and a love for the task at hand. This has also lead to her keen interest in the field of the paranormal. She has been a diligent student of all the mysteries this has lead to her becoming a Director at The National Paranormal Society. She and her husband also publish a paranormal journal called 'Outermost'.

Take a sip of the Kool-Aid! What's your flavor?

SNOFH with Aj-Poet. Speak Now Or Forever Hold (Up and Coming Artists) Music Ind.

    in Performing Arts

Each time we air our goal is to promote interest in the creative arts community. The focus is to allow artists in the community get their recognition.  We know that radio has been for years at the forefront of communication and no matter how technology will send us in different directions, radio is here to stay.  Almost everyone has something to say and what better opportunity to say it then to bring it straight to radio and then to the world.

Aj-Poet a native of Westchester County in White Plains, NY to be exact is jumping in head first to share her family of performers, artist, writers with the community.  She hoping not only to reach individuals in the surrounding area but to launch a movement to preserve the beauty of the arts.  She especially want that person who we call the "closeted" artist to come out and shine.  No longer will we sing only in our bathroom or paint behind closed doors.  What is freeing with radio is that these talents can be communicated behind a microphone exposing many to what we are afraid to show.  However once revealed a star is born.

Aj-Poet will be interviewing, playing music, sharing taped and live interviews.  Discussing what folks are doing out there and also promoting their crafts.  From authors who are reachable in our communities to dancers and musicians about to do a show.  She will have entrepreneurs, supporters, activists, politicians, community leaders and active participants in our communities.

Currently the show is aired from the Blue Door Arts Gallery located at 13 Riverdale Ave, Yonkers, NY every other Friday at 1pm. On alternative Friday's Aj-Poet takes her show on the road to interview artist out and about.  Stay tuned to dates and locations.  If you miss the show there is always a feed into Facebook. Call 914 299-0964 to make suggestions for the show.

Here's to SNOFHing with you.  Aj
