I Almost Lost It - Psalm 73 - Prophet Valerie Burrell

    in Spirituality

Psalm 73 shares with us regarding the tragedy of the wicked and the Blessedness of Trusting in God. This morning we are talking from the topic, I Almost Lost It. Have you ever been so focused on what others had and were doing that you lost focus on what God was doing for you?  I can admit that I have.  Not knowing who I was and what He intended for me - I almost lost it.  My faith was wavering, doubt was overriding and nothing was getting done.  Father is saying this morning, don't give up - He's working on your behalf and desires that you just TRUST HIM!

    in Psychology

In the episode of Hope is Now, Mandy Eppley will be interviewing entrepreneur and founder of Your Community Connector, Lori Ives-Godwin, about how her gift of connecting people, and her passion for alternate paths to health and happiness, came together after once being a chronic pain sufferer. They will discuss this in relation to Step 6 of The Model of Heart-Centered Grief - Service.

Once a chronic pain sufferer, now a chronic optimist; Lori is determined to show people that there are alternate paths towards health and happiness.  Lori has a passion to help folks connect with the people, businesses, and information they need so that they can begin their journey towards health happiness and a different lifestyle. Formerly a denizen of Corporate America, Lori now uses the skills and techniques acquired in the corporate environment to help small local holistic and alternative businesses connect with the people that need their services. What started out as her journey towards health and healing has transformed into her company, Your Community Connector, LLC.   The business began as a newsletter, grew into a website, and then started producing events designed to bring people together and celebrate our growing vibrant community.  Your Community Connector is founded on the mission concept that sharing and spreading holistic, alternative, and integrative modalities will enable others to help with their own healing.   www.yourcommunityconnector.com

Transitional Thinking ~ Pastor D.L. Douglas Sr.

    in Christianity

Have you ever been stuck in a place; have all the tools needed but just can't seem to get out, so it seems as if you are trapped? I want to tell you today that God can still use your prison to show his power. Come here, lets talk about Paul and Silas for a moment. If Paul and Silas could talk, they would tell you that your prison time is never God's off time. But the type of power you give to it will determine how you get through it.  Ultimately, when it is all said and done it is the power of  God that is able to tear down the walls and loosen every band.

Today, Pastor Douglas is going to give some vital and valuable information on how to not just recover must to move forward in your thinking by changing your perception. Join us today at 11:30 am CST on Blog Talk Radio.

    Sacred Sunday~Romans 15/Love One Another

    in Christianity

Good morning! Today we are reading Romans Chapter 15.

Really, Paul just wants all the Romans to live in harmony together and glorify God together without worrying about their differences. Remember, Christ is with the Jewish-Christians and the Gentile-Christians, too. So let's all play nice. Paul actually has a good feeling about the Romans. He knows they're upstanding people who are knowledgeable and can help each other do what's right by God. He's only written to them to tell them all this and to give them advice because of his special relationship with God. What can we say. The Big Guy loves helping Paul write all his correspondence. Not that's he's bragging or anything. Paul would only ever brag about all the good things that God has done through him. So modest. For example, Paul has won tons of converts through the entire Roman Empire, but that's all God's doing. He made that happen. Paul's not usually in the business of preaching about Jesus where people already know him. He also doesn't usually come into a church community he didn't found, like the one in Rome, and start handing out advice. No, never. That's why he hasn't been to see the Roman Christians in person yet. He's been meaning to, but there are just so many non-believers who need to hear the good news first hand. Paul's got a busy schedule. But now he's fresh out of non-believers to convert in the area, so he's going to head over to Rome soon and stay a while on his way to preach the gospel in Spain. Oh, bull fighting? Not, quite. Before that, Paul has got to make a quick pit stop in Jerusalem. The folks in Macedonia and Achaia have taken up a nice collection for the poor there and he's gonna drop off the money. Mission possible! Special thanks to www.shmoop.com.
