My buddy Bob Mc Glew suggested a story line that was visit a ghost town and to do a short story about what you find there. So has we were traveling to Austin Texas on December 24 we stopped in Kent Texas just to see what was there and do a share some reflections . There is not much there but I did learn some valuable lessons. (1) the batteries in my digital camera fell out and promptly disappeared, (2) we were not sure what we would find but do the research first This show is dedicated to Robert Mc Glew my S3 productions foreign reporter for giving me the idea
COMMENTS: Kent. A ranch town born to supply the needs of the long x Cattle Company. The most famous of the west Texas ranches. Owned by the Reynolds brothers, prominent west Texas ranchers. Their holding consisted of several thousand acres extending from north of us highway 10 to several miles south into the Davis mountains. REMAINS: Lots of ruins but a lot still standing. http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/tx/kent.html
The town, once called Antelope, was founded in the early 1890s.
A post office was granted in 1893 and by 1914 the population was a thriving 25 persons. The population doubled in the mid-1920s and remained at that level for 40 years. The post office was reported closed in 1960 but has since reopened.
Kent had a population of sixty-five in the late 1960s - falling to 60 by the mid-1970s where it remains today.
Today little is left to interest a tourist - but the juncture of the two roads provides a sense of place. The lone telephone at least looks comforting but its condition is unknown. The overpass of I-10 offers some relief from the scorching sun but it will be sometime before Kent becomes a destination.

On Christmas night December 25th, 2014 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke
Runyon will present a special program in which Frater Thabion, your host
and the founder of the Order of the Temple of Astarte, will trace the
books and films that influenced and inspired him to create and develop
his unique American system of Magick. I grew out of the Oz books and
graduated to the Mars books (John Carter) then into a teenage
fascination with Richard Shaver's hi-tech Lemurian survivor stories. I
will go to my 1950s early college days watching films such as Jean
Cocteau's Orpheus, and Orson Welles Black Magic (on Cagliostro and
Mesmer) and move on through to a study of Voodoo in line with my
Caribbean adventurer-fiction writer persona. The Saragossa Manuscript
for Kabbalah and mirror magick, Graves The White Goddess. Then my
illness which I tried to cure with self-hypnosis. This led to a serious
study of hypnosis along with Tibetan Tantra (Evans-Wentz) and finally
Western Magick. Mastering the Goetia with the mirror method led to
Jungian psycho-philosophy and the study of anthropology culminating in a
Master's Degree in the subject from California State University. During
this program I created the modern Hermetically oriented Neo-Canaanite
Seasonal ceremonies for our magical order The Temple of Astarte, The
main purpose of our Goetia was to bring up and reestablish the Secret
Goddess of old King Solomon himself. We use the 1770 Hermetic-Masonic rite of Crata Repoa as a structure for our system and I will discuss the sources behind this. Perhaps some of these books and teachings will help others to understand our perspective on the Western Tradition and what we expect to
accomplish by what we call The Great Work.

“Real journalism is publishing something someone else does not want published – the rest is just public relations.” George Orwell
With so much drama in the world today in our communities on both macro and micro levels, it’s always strange to see the news or people that claim to be journalists talking about all kinds of silly things and never what’s going on. The Firing Squad is here to take aim at all that is wrong with the world, starting with our own communities.

In his new book the Hopi Indians of Northern Arizona myth of creation is explored, leading the reader on a trip across the seas to Egypt and the pyramids, with surprising results
Could this be the explanation of man's beginning? He explains the reason for the pyramid complex, the meaning behind the murals, the design of the temples and message that they tell.
His book is based on the following Truths:
There are Pyramids. They have been here since the beginning. Over 230 in Eqypt, Mexico, and China all along the 30-degree latitude. There is a reason.
We do not know how the Pyramids were constructed but the Hopi Myth tells us why they were constructed and who built them and the reason for the arrangement that they are in.
The statues and murals of the Gaza complex depict all four races, black, yellow, red, and white. Their message is for all of mankind, not just certain groups. This was the place of Man's beginning. We were all created equal and at the same time. The Black man was given Africa, the Yellow man was given China, the Red man was given the America's, and the White man was given Europe. If we came from monkeys how do you explain this fact? If we arose out of the sea, how do you explain this fact? The murals and statues tell the story.
The oldest site in the America's was located in Chile on the western side of the continent 12,500 years ago after the great flood. There was an ice age and a great flood.
The first record of the zodiac was located in the ceiling of Dendera. It does not have anything to do with horoscopes as the progression of the stars moves the constellations one degree every 72 years. The constellations have a very different meaning. The ceiling of Dendera also show the Earth's wobble as we travel through space. The Earth is in a delicate balance, that is the message.
