I wanted to share with you a sermon that I heard from Westboro Baptist Church about God's judgement and the tragedy of 911. If you break down this sermon a few things become clear.
1) The pastor can preach with emotion, very powerful tones.
2) There is a foundation of biblical truth in what they say.
3) But his hermeneutic quickly breaks down due to the rage of
hate with in.
Please hit us up on facebook at let us know what you think of this sermon.
We've seen their anti-gay, God Hates everything signs at military funerals, school plays and other events. The Westboro Baptist Church is perhaps the most controversial, if not the most hated, church in America. But what is it that motivates the Phelps family?
Shirley Phelps-Roper will join the show to discuss the church's beliefs about God, the Bible and humanity's purpose.
Following the Westboro Baptist Church, we'll be talking with Adam about his visit to the Creation Museum!

Nate Phelps is the son of Fred Phelps, infamous pastor of Kansas' Westboro Baptist Church, an entity which asserts that "God Hates Fags," that President Obama is the AntiChrist, and that the terrorist attacks of 9/11 were God's punishment upon the United States.
One of 13 children, Nate ultimately broke away from his father's extreme Calvanist teaching (and the emotional and physical abuse he asserts was prevalent in the Phelps home) at the age of eighteen. He built a new life, declared himself an atheist and is now on the front lines against Westboro, religion, child abuse, and is a strong supporter of the LGBT community.
