    Minister Kimberly Smith, Prophetic Writer

    in Motivation

Ministers Michael and Kimberly Smith are a dedicated couple full of God’s Word, love, and His power. Currently residing in Florida, both Michael and Kimberly are graduates of Wilberforce University in Ohio. Minister Kimberly also studied at Kent State University earning a M.Ed. For more than thirty years, they have lifted up the name of Jesus with great affection and unconditional worship. Keenly sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit, the two function in flow with integrity and righteousness. They creatively joined together and made the powerful Spoken Word CD titled “The Pastor’s Journey.”

Minister Kimberly, a woman who radiates the love and compassion of Christ emanates God’s great hope for people. The Lord uses her mightily in areas of intercession, teaching, counsel, and encouragement. She is also a prolific prophetic writer, watchfully scribing the whispers of God. God graced her with gifts that have brought inner healing and hope to many. Minister Kimberly is the founder and facilitator of With Open Arms Women’s Ministries.

Minister Michael, a profound teacher of the Word of God also arranges and composes music. An anointed Psalmist, he melodiously enters the presence of the Lord and prepares the way for the King. Often singing prophetically as the Spirit of the Lord leads, he seasons the atmosphere for the all-encompassing Presence of the Lord. Audiences are captivated while God faithfully imparts into them. Many have attested to the fact that “surely the presence of the Lord was in this place.”

Focus Movie Review & Oscars Aftermath

    in Movies

AreYouScreening.com and BFCA critic, Marc Eastman, and co-host extraordinaire, Shane Leonard, review Focus. We were pretty hard on Will Smith's last effort, and we aren't sure we're going to like this one any better, but generally we appreciate a good con film.

We'll also give some thoughts on the Academy Awards, answer listener questions, and probably have a few interview clips to share.

It's a rough time of year, most years, is Focus worth your time? Listen in and find out.

    Epiphany's House Welcomes Wil Gibson...

    in Poetry

There are some artists who are just rooted in your soul..who make no bullshyt excuses.....who just get right down to it...Wil Gibson is THAT artist... I promise..

Wil Gibson was born from a good idea and a bottle of bourbon. He was raised in some of the poorest communities northern Illinois and eastern Arkansas have to offer. He now lives in Portland (the one in Maine) and likes it a lot there (you probably would too). He writes too many love poems and not nearly enough of his novel. A proud (mistake prone) father of four who tries real hard and is still growing up.
He has performed with or opened for; Regie Gibson (no relation), Charlie Neville, Brother Ali, mybrightestdiamond, Toki Wright, Patricia Smith, and Kurtis Blow (among others) in dive bars, high schools, colleges, poetry slams, libraries, living rooms, restaurants, prisons, coffee houses, and churches from Bellingham, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts and beyond.
He was runner up at the 2010 and 2011 Arkansas Grand Slam, audience favorite 2010 Arkansas Grand Slam, three time (2008-2010) Portland, Maine/Port Veritas Grand Slam Champion, 2010 New Hampshire/Slam Free or Die Grand Slam Champion, has represented Portland, Maine six times (2008-2012, 2014) at the National Poetry Slam, including the 2011 team that made semifinals.
He has toured nationally solo and as part of:
Uncomfortable Laughter (w/ Beau Williams, Kait Rokowski, and Ryan McLellan)
guyslikeyou (w/ Beau Williams and Ryan McLellan)
is an honorary member of Chicago 4 Star Poetry(w/ Billy Tuggle, Andi Kauth, Rik Vazquez, Melanie “George” Decelles, Ashley Hart, and Patricia Smith)
and is a founding member of the Port Veritas artist collective.
He likes people and dogs a lot. He would like to pet your dog, talk to you a few minutes, and possibly give you a hug if that’s ok.

    Elisha and the Shunammite Woman

    in Spirituality

    Scripture Text: 2 Kings 4:8-37

    Key Verse: 2 Kings 4: 8-10

And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shuem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread.

And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.

Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
