Judith Simmons, Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona & Deb Sanders , Global Takeback Director, Dell
How to safely and properly dispose of electronic waste including computers is an ongoing challenge for businesses and individuals. What’s the right thing to do? (NOT throw it in the garbage!) E-waste is a global issue – the volume of it, the dangers to the environment if not disposed of properly and risk it can pose to countries in ways we might never even have thought of. Join us to hear about this partnership as Deb and Judy talk about just what they are up to. This show made possible due to the generous support of Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona.
3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial

Dana provides solutions! From a scientist at the Natural Resources Defense Council come these everyday techniques that call for minimal adjustments of habit - from shopping, portioning, and using a refrigerator properly to simple preservation methods including freezing, pickling, and cellaring. We start out with the Venture Alliance Group in Dubai and later Naresh asks Jason investment related frequently asked questions about commercial and residential real estate properties, about single family homes, how the need for housing is never outsourced to another country and how the oil surplus is affecting US oil towns. Real estate investment income property is the most historically proven asset class. Real estate properties should be looked at in a market by market basis and when looking for you first or next creative deal make certain you can trust the person you are dealing with. When choosing a partner make sure they have tenure in real estate investing. They should already have a comprehensive network of investors and local market specialists in place before you trust them with your money.

We have to returning guests this morning, that we had a great conversation with back in February, Janine Hammer and Angelica Dulce of Waste Management.
Janine brings over 20 years of experience in government affairs, community relations, environmental sustainability, and customer focused service to Waste Management. After attending NYU, Janine got her start working for non-profit organizations including Neighbor to Neighbor and Global Green where she served as the Development Director and the Coalition for Clean Air where she served as Chief Operating Officer.
Angelica Dulce graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2012 with a Major in Environmental Science & Policy. She interned with the City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability and was in charge of the Green Business Recognition Program that awards businesses for their green efforts. In 2013, Angelica worked for the nonprofit group Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, where her focus was the Clean Air Clean Trucks campaign at the Port of Long Beach. She was the liaison between the community, city officials and over 10 other non-profits to promote and publicize the environmental impacts of pollution in the harbor community.
Today it’s all about reusing, recycling, reclaiming, repurposing and environmental responsibility and this morning we’re going to hear about Waste Management’s latest programs that are about to go into effect in Manhattan Beach.
