    Today Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian is celebrating the September 17th release of her new book Jazzy Vegetarian Classics: Vegan Twists on American Family Favorites and the BIG, September 19th fall premiere of Jazzy Vegetarian Season 3 on the CREATE channel all across the country. Laura will welcome Dr. Pam Popper, who is featured in every episode of season three.     Actor and Vegetarian, Kerry O’Malley

Soprano Lisette Oropesa has been hailed by The New York Times as an artist with a “magnetic” stage presence, and an “attractively silky, and flexible timbre.” The 2011-12 season sees her debut with the San Francisco Opera as Romilda in Xerxes, followed by Miranda in the new Baroque pastiche The Enchanted Island with the Metropolitan Opera (conducted by William Christie), Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with Pittsburgh Opera and Ismene in a revival of Mitridate, rè di Ponto with the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich. In concert, Ms . Oropesa appeared in Messiah (Part I) with the New Choral Society, made a notable debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Carmina Burana conducted by Riccardo Muti, and presented a duo recital with baritone Brian Mulligan for the George London Foundation at the Morgan Library.     Today Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian welcomes Jennifer Suhr, to talk about some tips for adding more plant-based meals into your weekly menu plan. Jennifer Suhr, RN, BSN, MBA has a passion for good food and good health. She became vegetarian 16 years ago and began researching the benefits of a vegetarian diet, and the correlation between peoples’ eating habits, environments, and disease. Pursuing a career in health, she attended nursing school and worked in a large metro hospital but soon realized that conventional medicine was not the right fit. She believed in a natural holistic approach to health and wellness.
    Jennifer and her husband had two daughters who were born blind because of a rare genetic disorder. She resigned from her job at the hospital and looked for a way to uplift humanity’s consciousness of health from home where she could care for her children at the same time. In 2011, she created HappyHealthyVegetarian.com, a vegetarian meal planning website to educate, inspire, and ease the burden of meal planning for vegetarians.     Vegetarian and Broadway Star, Nellie McKay

    Today Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian welcomes Vegetarian Nellie McKay who has won a Theatre World Award for her portrayal of Polly Peachum in the Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera and performed onscreen in the film PS I Love You. We’ll chat about her new CD, Home Sweet Mobile Home and we’ll share fun recipes! McKay has written original music for the Rob Reiner film Rumor Has It and has contributed to the New York Times Book Review. Her music has also been heard on the TV shows Weeds, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, Privileged and Nurse Jackie.Nellie has appeared on numerous TV shows including Late Show with David Letterman (with the Brooklyn Philharmonic), The View, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Live with Regis & Kelly and CBS Saturday Morning. Nellie recently finished contributing to the soundtrack for the HBO series Boardwalk Empire.  A recipient of The Humane Society’s Doris Day Music Award in recognition of her dedication to animal rights, Nellie is known as an outspoken and fierce advocate for feminism, civil rights and other deeply felt progressive ideals.
