Jason Hayes: Drama Teacher & Coach

    in Entertainment

Jason Hayes joins the show tonight to talk about their GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds to take students in their program to the UK this summer to perform!

Call 323 657-1493 to ask questions or join in the fun!

Jason is the Director of Theatre and Lead Teacher for Arts, Media and Entertainment at James Monroe High School in North Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles. With productions that include, Oedipus the King, Wiley and the Hairy Man, Zombie Prom and School House Rock Live! along with on campus festivals that include Comedia Del Arte, Shakespeare and traditional Folkloric dance, his students have been selected by the American High School Theatre Festival as one of only 40 schools from North America to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland this August, 2015. While his students are severely economically disadvantaged and labeled "at risk" for a myriad of reasons, they have honed their energies into theatre arts and created for themselves the opportunity of a lifetime in their performance of Romeo y Julieta at this year's Edinburgh Fringe.

Romeo y Julieta is a bi-lingual Romeo and Juliet translated by the students. Using Shakespeare's language and spoken in Original, Elizabethan Pronunciation along with colloquial Spanish, Monroe Theatre tells the story of "star crossed lovers" from rival Hispanic families living in San Fernando, CA.

This is not West Side Story. Romeo y Julieta touches on the, very real, inner-racial tension within the Hispanic community my students deal with daily.

She focuses on personal development, relationships and career and integrates tarot, astrology, spirit guides, psychic insights, animal guides, mediumship, I Ching, runes and tea leaves in her readings. She publishes weekly and annual horoscopes through Psychics Connect and offers personalized birthchart interpretations.

She has studied and practiced many forms of spiritual ritual including Wicca, Witchcraft, Animal Medicine, Plant Medicine, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Zen and dance meditation. She helps others find their own path to spiritual practice. Each person’s Path is different. Everyone can find a practice to enlighten and empower their life.

Energetically, Heather Muse, Katsura and Lisa MoonCat have noticed that common question coming up is how can we access and maintain a frequency of joy.  Continue to do our spiritual work, our worldy work and maintain alignemnt with our dreams while having fun! Feeling the joy course through our entire bodies, feeding ourselves with positivity so that in return we can share that with others.  While we do our work how can we best balance living in the now, while we strive and work towards living for the future.  Expanding our boundaries, and stepping out of our comfort zone so that we may fully grow, and have fun doing it!

GRACEbreak Radio | Be Prepared to Take Risk & Innovate

    in Business

When you are prepared to imagine, innovate, and risk within your gift set you are no longer living within the set standard of average! ~ Tracy Worley

Who are you inviting to the dance floor to innovate, collaborate, and have fun?

We all have risk and either we embrace it or do everything in our power to avoid it. Imagine the playground where a group of children are jumping off the top of the monkey bars and then there are the few who stand at the edge pacing waiting for the school bell to ring so they do not have to jump.

I want to encourage you to JUMP! Not in the sense of physical, mental, or spiritual harm but to really jump back into a childlike state and use your imagination, create, and innovate right where you stand. Ken Robinson states the risk of imagination eloquently, be prepared to be wrong. When you are prepared to risk, be wrong, and basically stand there looking like an idiot you are onto something!

The risk takers are the ones you watch rise to the next level, the risk takers are the ones who are creating original ideas.

    Leading Creativity and Value

"To create sustained innovation excellence..it is necessary to create innovation platforms and netowkrs of individuals within them where the selected innovative individuals can share with each other, be lead, and GROW." ~ Davila, Epstein, Shelton

You are meant to have a life and career of significance so embrace your natural gifts, talents, wisdom, and knowledge to create original ideas.

    Look UP & OUT!
