DHS tackles endless morale problems with seemingly endless studies:

Afflicted with the lowest morale of any large federal agency, the Department of Homeland Security did what comes naturally to many in government.

It decided to study the problem. And then study it some more.

The first study cost about $1 million. When it was finished, it was put in a drawer. The next one cost less but duplicated the first. It also ended up in a drawer.

“There’s really no excuse for the department expending finite resources on multiple studies, some at the same time, to tell the department pretty much what everyone has concluded: that there are four-to-five things that need to be done for morale,” said Chris Cummiskey, who left DHS in November after serving as its third-highest-ranking official. “You don’t need $2 million worth of studies to figure that out.”

ISIS name giving terror license to loose, growing network of offshoots

WASHINGTON –  Islamic State "affiliates" seem to be emerging at an alarming rate, giving the sense of an expanding terror network with satellites all over the world.

But a closer look, according to analysts, shows these ISIS offshoots are likely operating without much coordination with the Islamic State core. It doesn't make them any less dangerous, but helps explain how a group President Obama described just one year ago as "JV" has established a presence in nearly a dozen countries.

Unlike Al Qaeda, which in its prime was operationally stronger and had a better communication network with its affiliates, the ISIS network appears more fractured. There is no clear-cut power pyramid beyond its head, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. And a number of the affiliates existed before, only recently latching onto ISIS as the terror network grew in notoriety.

QARLive: Prunier & Taylor: Decline & Fail Of The CIA W/Guest Charles Faddis

    in Politics Conservative

Join hosts, Jason Taylor/Randy Hahn @StQuagmire & Watson Prunier @StPrunier Monday night at 10:00pm EST here on qarlive.com

Charles S. Faddis is a twenty-year veteran of the CIA’s Clandestine Service. He served throughout the Near East, South Asia and Southern Europe and conducted operations against rogue states, WMD smuggling networks and the world’s most dangerous terrorist organizations. He took the first CIA team into Iraq in 2002, in advance of the invasion of that country, and he retired in 2008 as the head of CIA’s WMD terrorism unit.

Since his retirement, Faddis has written extensively. He is the author of three works of non-fiction, three novels and dozens of articles and opinion pieces. He lives near Annapolis, Maryland and continues to consult for the Intelligence Community.

Prior to joining CIA, Faddis was a combat arms officer in the US Army and a trial attorney. He has been married for thirty-four years and has four children. When he is not working or writing, Faddis sails, makes wine and beer, travels and reads extensively.

Faddis describes himself politically as a libertarian with a small “l”. He believes government has a vital role to play but that it is too big, too intrusive and too inefficient. He wants to cut the size of government, trim the size of the budget and free the American people to pursue their own destinies.

Chaos America W/ @StQuagmire: State Department Hires Real Life Barbie!?

State Department spokeswoman floats jobs as answer to ISIS

"We're killing a lot of them, and we're going to keep killing more of them. ... But we cannot win this war by killing them," department spokeswoman Marie Harf said on MSNBC's "Hardball." "We need ... to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it's lack of opportunity for jobs, whether --"

At that point, Harf was interrupted by host Chris Matthews, who pointed out, "There's always going to be poor people. There's always going to be poor Muslims."

Harf continued to argue that the U.S. should work with other countries to "help improve their governance" and "help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people."

She acknowledged there's "no easy solution" and said the U.S. would still take out ISIS leaders. But Harf said: "If we can help countries work at the root causes of this -- what makes these 17-year-old kids pick up an AK-47 instead of trying to start a business?"

Asked about Harf's remarks on Tuesday, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Harf was only making the point that fighting ISIS entails more than just a military solution.

    in Politics Conservative

Please join Jason Wade Taylor/ Randy Hahn for a special Sunday night show, as Jason tackles the issues that face many in this great Nation, and in the Conservative Social media family.

Conservatives on Social media play a huge role in getting the message out about how great our Conservative Party is, and how great it could be. There is much so much infighting, not unlike those that represent us in Washington.

We don’t need a kumbaya moment, or maybe we do. It’s really up to you?

I myself have had enough of the infighting that has been running wild on Twitter this past year, what it has become, is nothing less of complete and utter contempt for the beloved Conservative party. I have been on a mission to “out” Michael Vanderwall aka @TempestMagnum for whom and what he is. A social media bully that lives on the evil he can inflict on others, and the joy he seems to gain out of doing these God awful things to people he, in all honesty doesn’t know.

I took issue with Mr. O’Halloran’s new website sendthewetbackshome.com, And once again we see another so called ‘Conservative’ following in the footsteps of radical liberals, and there tactics just to make a buck. You see, this is Mr. O’Halloran’s lively hood, his money maker and one of his many “get rich” schemes that he has spent most of his life working at; only to meet failure at every turn.

I will continue to use every means afforded to me by the justice system to have these men brought to justice for the things he has done, and said. I will fight for the ones that have no voice, the men and women that live in fear of these men.

I will keep up the fight; knowing that the good Lord above gives me strength. I will pray for you, and please pray for me.
