In this episode we are joined by Steve Tillis of RepTillis Herps
Steve is a small scale part time reptile breeder located in Central Florida northeast of Orlando. He works with Carpet pythons, Ball pythons, Kenyan sand boas and Red Blood Pythons. We will be talking about his approach to keeping pythons. In particular his approach to using ambient temps for keeping and breeding his pythons. We will also hit on his approach to running a reptile business.
"I have stood up to the president and my party when it's right for North Carolina, noting she supports building the Keystone XL pipeline and has opposed trade deals sought by the administration.Tillis was quoted as saying at a state Republican convention in 2011 that members of a state teachers' association don't care about children or classrooms — only about jobs and pensions. Hagan told the TV audience accusing Tillis of cutting education by $500 million and giving tax breaks to wealthy individuals while leading the North Carolina House. "And his priorities even speak louder than his words."
Tillis recalled Hagan's comments from her successful 2008 campaign, when she criticized GOP incumbent Elizabeth Dole for having voted 92 percent of the time with then-President George W. Bush. And yet, he said, Hagan has sided with Obama 95 percent. "Kay 1.0, Kay 2.0," he said unflatteringly, adding, "At the end of the day we need to say what we mean." http://www.newsobserver

We again broadcast with candidates as guests...this time with an old friend & a new visitor.
James Harrison Nixon will be making his third appearance on The Social Spitball Show.
Nixon is a different kind of candidate and a different kind of Democrat for a Southern state that desperately needs different leaders. He is that leader who stands for Medicaid Expansion, common sense gun ownership (and regulations), Autism Awareness (and legislative support), as well as equal rights for all Georgians. Nixon doesn't shy away from any group that will have him to speak about his vision, which harbors both conservative and progressive ideals.
Listen to learn more about this outstanding candidate as we talk about what's happening in the Empire State of the South: http://www.jamesharrisonnixon2014.com/
William Osborne, Democratic Nominee for North Carolina Senate in District 26, will be making his first appearance on The Social Spitball Show.
Osborne is a recent former Chair of the Rockingham County Democratic Party & knows how to organize. He'll be putting those leadership skills in play as he becomes a high profile Senate candidate in a "winnable district" against the current Republican NC Senate leader Phil Berger in November. Berger's leadership, along with Thom Tillis' leadership of the NC House as Speaker, has decimated decades of progress made in North Carolina by members of both parties as North Carolina became a progressive beacon of the South.
Tune in to hear his plan to put North Carolina back to work and to restore sanity to the legislature in Raleigh: http://www.electwosborne.com/
These two men look to initiate needed change in the capitals of two hurting states of the South, due to irresponsible Republican leadership. That change depends on you.
Let's get the conversation going...

We have a boxing great folks on MTR on this glorious holiday. What's going on with Quick Tillis today and why he means to so much to so many in boxing Young and Old
What the results of the North Carolina GOP primary really mean, and why the need for Republican senatorial primary voters to make the right choices this year is critical; Chucky Schumer thinks he can improve on James Madison; Climate is not weather, and scientifically predicting it is even more impossible, which is why the greenstremists have lost the climate change debate; We have an opportunity society — for the children of Democrats; ObamaCare’s supporters are lauding its "dramatic turnaround." but the facts give them the lie; and on fiscal reform, Jerry Brown should listen to Jerry Brown.
Ever wonder what happens "Behind the Scenes"? Today we're talking with Dan Rogers and Brenda Colladay who will tell us just that.
Dan Rogers has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry staff since 1998. Serving as Director of Marketing and Communication, he shares the Opry’s rich stories via print, digital, and broadcast media. His first trip backstage at the Opry was during a family vacation when he was in kindergarten, and his personal favorite Opry backstage memories are watching Loretta Lynn prepare to take the stage, introducing radio and television personality Charles Osgood to the backstage goings-on at the Opry, and eavesdropping on Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis during their photo shoot for BACKSTAGE at the Grand Ole Opry. His other Opry title is Tune Town Trivia: The Grand Ole Opry's Ultimate Country Music Quiz Book.
Brenda Colladay joined the Grand Ole Opry as its very first Museum and Photograph Curator in 1997, charged with collecting, organizing, caring for, and sharing the costumes, instruments, photographs, and memorabilia that illustrate the Opry’s colorful story and cast of unforgettable characters. She often jokes that her job is “eighty-plus years of history versus me,” but enjoys creating museum exhibits for the Grand Ole Opry and historic Ryman Auditorium, assisting researchers, filmmakers, and authors, and discovering “new” stories about the Opry’s past. Colladay previously served as photo editor for the book, The Grand Ole Opry: The Making of an American Icon.
