This show will help you look at gratefulness in a different way. David Steind-Rast is a monk who has his thumb on being happy in life.
Brother David Steindl-Rast has been a practicing Benedictine monk for over half a century and was one of the first Vatican-sanctioned delegates to participate in Buddhist-Christian dialogue. He is a recipient of the Martin Buber Award for his outstanding role in building bridges between religious traditions, and serves as a senior member of the Mount Savior Monastery in Elmira, New York.
Born in Austria in 1926, Br. David came of age during the Nazi occupation. Years later, he would write of the brutality of this experience as compelling him to contemplate, "the existential situation designed to hide, to disguise, and to camouflage our confrontation with death."
“The root of joy is gratefulness...It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
“Look closely and you will find that people are happy because they are grateful. The opposite of gratefulness is just taking everything for granted."
“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy -- because we will always want to have something else or something more.”

Coexist, is an abomination before the eyes of our LORD- God- Almighty. Today the world is conforming nicely, and those who stand up for Biblical truth, and the gospel of Jesus Christ are called fundamentalists, and extremists. But, that is too bad! The truth sets us free from the norms of society, and our word says be not conformed to the world, but be ye transformed!
We hear them say "peace" But the peace offered in Budhism might as well be a partnership between the demonic and the practicer! Extreme? or reality? You decide. No stone will be left unturned. The light of truth will expose this false religion. It may be ancient...But before all religions and idolitry began- there was ONE. GOD. ONE fater, One Gospel, One word, and no others can stand in his presence. We must learn the truth tonight and repent before the one true living God. There are none beside me he said. And we at Way Walkers Ministry know this, and are prepared to show this!

Kristin Neff, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Human Development and Culture at the University of Texas at Austin. During her last year of graduate school, she became interested in Buddhism, and has been practicing meditation in the Insight Meditation tradition ever since. While doing her post-doctoral work she conducted research on self-compassion – a central construct in Buddhist psychology and one that had not yet been examined empirically.
In addition to her pioneering research into self-compassion, Kristen has developed an 8-week program to teach self-compassion skills. The program, co-created with her colleague Chris Germer at Harvard University, is called Mindful Self-Compassion. She is the author of a book titled, "Self-Compassion" and has produced a 6-CD Audio Set on "Self-Compassion Step by Step."
Kristen and her family were also featured in the best-selling book and award-winning documentary called "The Horse Boy." Visit her website at www.self-compassion.org

Join me as I welcome my special guest Master Teacher Yuan Miao, for a lively discussion of Kundalini Shakti and how to awaken our latent, spiritual energy through Yoga of Joy. Hear the wisdom of Miao and what she has to share about cultivating Divine energy, resonating at a high vibrational frequency and fulfilling the true aspiration and purpose of Yoga!
Yuan Miao was born in Mainland China into a family with a rich Chinese and Tibetan spiritual heritage. Her Chinese grandfather was a Zen master. Her grandmother, Yeshe Tsuomu, whose name means “Ocean of Wisdom”, was the daughter of a high Tibetan Rinpoche and herself an enlightened master deeply connected to the Divine Mother. She named her granddaughter Yuan Miao –the Source of Infinite Water– after receiving a transmission from the Divine Mother. She was Miao’s teacher, guide and guardian, passing down to her a precious ancient dakini lineage.
Miao has had a close affinity with the Divine Mother Guanyin since she was three years old, when in a vision, she appeared before Miao as a traditionally dressed woman holding a water-filled vase. She conveyed a clear message that she would become a guide for Miao.
Yuan Miao is considered an embodiment of the Divine Mother, a dearly beloved teacher, healer, friend, mother, or sister. Just like her name, the Source of Infinite Water, Yuan Miao emanates the infinite love from the source of life to embrace, encourage and support everyone who comes into her energy circle.
"When one understands that all phenomena whatsoever are manifestations of the Buddhist Law, then one does not need any 'good friends' to teach and instruct one. One thinks as one thinks, speaks as one speaks, acts as one acts, behaves as one behaves, and all one's four types of activity, walking, standing, sitting, lying down, all that one does, is one with and in harmonious accord with the mind of the Buddha. One becomes a person who can act freely, without error or obstacle. This is what is known as practice based on the Buddha's teaching that pertains to enlightenment." Have you ever wondered about life after death? This episode is all about the afterlife in the spirit world. What is the soul's journey after one passes on? What is the spirit world like? What do spirits look like on the other side? Are there different levels in the Spirit World? What is the Tibetan View of Death? Find answers to these questions and many more! Call in number 347-633-9648.
This is a rebroadcast of the original episode with originally aired on March 3rd, 2015.
New Thought teaches that a change in conciousness can change the world. But what exactly is conciousness, and how does it bring these changes from thought into reality?
The mystery of consciousness--whether or not the quality of awareness arises from the material brain or is a non-material "spark" separate from, but acting in cooperation with the brain--has been investigated by every branch of human inquiry. Yet we're no closer to a difinitive answer today than we were three thousand years ago.
This episode begins a series of discussions concerning consciousness. We'll look at Buddhist ideas, quantum models of consciousness, the materialist or functionalist model, and much more.
The crystal of the week is Citrine.
Reverend Jon Saint Germain is the Voice of the Crystal Silence League, providing Spiritual guidance on the practical use of crystals and crystal balls in the development of mental concentration and mind power, silent influence over others, divination and scrying of the future, and telepathic contact with people and spirits.
Join Marilyn Harper and Joeaux Robey in a discussion with special guests, Counselor - Cindy Finley, Psychologist - Dr. Rose Grace, and Sound Healers - Kathleen Farrel and Judson Commingham.
All three of our guests today are featured speakers (and musicians at The Visionaries in Light Convergence). The interesting thing about this conversation is the shape that each of their careers have taken over the past few years as their work has merged more and more with Spirituality and the cross section of science. Cindy Finley has a life-coaching and energy work practice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She also teaches at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Rose Grace has a thriving Psychotherapy practice in Chicago, IL and also teaches classes on various forms of intuitive coaching... and Kathleen and Judson are the musical components of SoulTones, a form of sound healing/concert musicians that soothe and heal people with the use of their elaborate crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls (and more), esoteric auditory set up.
For more information on any of these speakers, please visit their biography pages for the Visionaries in Light Convergence at Adironnda.com.
