Thomas Paine (February 9, 1737–June 8, 1809) was an English-American political activist, author, political theorist and revolutionary. As the author of two highly influential pamphlets at the start of the American Revolution, he inspired the Patriots in 1776 to declare independence from Britain. His ideas reflected Enlightenment era rhetoric of transnational human rights. He has been called "a corsetmaker by trade, a journalist by profession, and a propagandist by inclination".Born in Thetford, England, in the county of Norfolk, Paine emigrated to the British American colonies in 1774 with the help of Benjamin Franklin and he arrived in time to participate in the American Revolution. His principal contributions were the powerful, widely read pamphlet Common Sense (1776), the all-time best-selling American book that advocated colonial America's independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain, and The American Crisis (1776–83), a pro-revolutionary pamphlet series. Common Sense was so influential that John Adams said, "Without the pen of the author of Common Sense, the sword of Washington would have been raised in vain."
Thomas Paine is one of the founding fathers, and many, especially in the Tea Party have touted him as the modern day libertarian.
Today's show, I will explain that Thomas Paine was not a libertarian, in fact his ideas were very much in line with modern day liberals.
Don't let the right wing revise our history. History belongs to liberals and our priciples.
Fight back against dis-information.

Dan of the "world famous" Dan and Rich combination has a military background including service as a drill sergeant, an NCO in a reconnaissance platoon of the US Cavalry and an acting Special Agent in Charge of Counterintelligence Operations that included subversion, international narcotics trafficking, and terrorism in parts of a 3 state area on the east coast. With his combination of experience he brings a unique view to current operations and insight into how the writings of the founding fathers can be used to broaden our understanding as to the concepts of liberty, America and current events.
[Growing up, I always knew I was different. I just didn’t know what my calling was and when it would appear. But I later found out that it (my calling) had always been there. I hid my talents and I was unwilling to share my thoughts, no matter how powerful or transformational they were. However, despite the fear and confusion, one day, God spoke to me and said, “I need YOU to step up so others can be set free from the life of conformity.” His proclamation seeped through my soul in the form of writing. And that’s where I found life and it was so exciting! The rejection I received from peers and the people I looked to for direction couldn’t shatter my purpose. In fact, those experiences helped to birth my empowerment organization, L.O.V.E International Network, where I challenge individuals to raise the B.A.R- Believe, Achieve and Receive in their lives. But I wasn’t done yet! I knew that I wasn’t alone in feeling paralyzed by fear and confusion and I needed to share wisdom and honesty to break some barriers. So, I wrote my book, “101 Truths for You” to further inspire and encourage people and remind them of their reason to live.]

"Swords and Shields. Faith and Magic.
Grab yours and get ready, for the enemy is on the move.
High fantasy and mighty conflicts go hand-in-hand. In great wars, armies rise to fight evil hordes and heroes struggle to push beyond their imperfections and save the day. These stories include more than just epic landscapes and characters...but also epic battles.
Imagine a doctor struggling to identify the spy who has infiltrated his company's ranks and poisoned his colleagues or a boy suspected of murder by a king yet protected by a princess as he helps her father against his own people. Imagine a butcher discovering that he's called to lead an uprising, or a First Born knowing that she must betray her own in order to save humanity.
The possibilities are endless, but at the heart they have this in common: soldiers--ordinary and otherwise-struggling against extraordinary odds to survive the day. They must withstand dark magic, dodge enemy blades, and defy the odds to survive SHATTERED SHIELDS."

Study of God with Thomas Abdul-Salaam
Study of God with Thomas Abdul-Salaam aka Twin Servant of Peace takes you through the thought process of inquiry into the exsitence of God. Its main question is "Who is He? And What is He to You? Thomas use the revealed books as the textbooks, Bible and Quran, mostly. The goal is to see if we can better understand, conceptualize, and definite God from His own words (revelation). We will explore the evidence of His existence, Oneness, attributes, and signs. Where is God? How is He God? What is the knowledge of God? Does God have partners, parents, or children? Who are the messengers to God? And so many other questions. Join us every Friday morning.
We're back! This week your favorite geeky ladies review "The Maze Runner" starring the kid from MTV's Teenwolf abomination, the kid from "We're The Millers" and that kid from Game of Thrones. Based on the YA novel of the same name, "The Maze Runner" is the story of Thomas, a boy who awakens in an elevator and is deposited in a Lord of The Flies type compound filled with other mildly dirty, yet impossibly well-coifed teenage boys. The boys can't remember anything about their previous lives (except their names) or how they arrived in "The Glade". They only know their one shot at escape is through the imposing, monster-filled Maze that surrounds their compound. Tune in to find out if this sci-fi action flick is worth your hard earned money or if you should save your $14 and just read the book.
