Songwriter, producer, singer and all-around musical phenom Corey El handcrafts multidimensional songs that sparkle with contagious melodies, playful beats and razor-sharp lyrics. Each of his originals is an auditory time capsule that plunges listeners into his own memories and experiences, energized by the very essence of life: self-discovery; love and daring to let one’s own authentic colors shine. With a soulful wisdom far beyond his years and his finger on the pulse of his generation, Corey El lends a fresh perspective to decades’ worth of musical styles, inspired by the pioneering sounds of pop, R&B and urban music gurus such as B. Slade (Anthony Williams II), Kanye West and Michael Jackson.
The son of dexterous professional multi-instrumentalist Carl Lester-El, a young Corey El knew instantly how music can impact moods, viewpoints and connect people’s hearts and minds on a global scale. Because of his natural ear for a multitude of melodies and grooves, he was able to express himself instantly through singing. His father taught him how to track on a Casio keyboard, and as soon as he learned to write, he was making his own fully-formed tunes. By the time he was a teenager, he was already producing, writing and arranging for local artists in the studio, and he eventually felt the pull to focus on creating his own original work.
Now, Corey El continues to experiment with exciting melodic flavors, sounds, poetry and stories as he invents new ways to grow and express himself. A multi-talented and self-contained artist, he has already put out several singles via YouTube and streaming sites and created videos giving insight into his creative process. His new, empowering single, “Nothing Like You” encourages others to stay true to their authentic selves even when faced with bullies who try to limit their dreams. “Nothing Like You” is available now!
You have probably heard of "haters" or "trolls" or "cyber-bullies." Where did they come from? Why do they attack? Has the digital world of social media and mobile created a new underground culture of bad behaviour? Join Deb and Tom as they converse with Peggy Parks, a leading civility expert form the Parks Image Group, Inc. (www.theparksimagegroup.com) about the lack of civil behaviour online and what we can do to make the Internet a safer place to express ourselves and disagree in a respectful manner with those who we do not share the same perspective. Respecting boundaries, taking responsibility for our own online comments and conduct, and setting a good example for others are some of the topics we will hit on during the interview.
About Peggy: Peggy Parks has the opportunity to see people in business settings as well as social ones. A key element in her observations is noticing how people treat each other. Psychic Christine is more than just a psychic; she obtains skills and abilities that far surpass those around us. She became aware of her gift as a young child, like many other intuitives. By the time she reached her teenage years, Psychic Christine decided it was time to explore her gift further from a spiritual and self-growth perspective. Now after 12 years of exploration and gained expertise, she is a naturally gifted Psychic Medium, Reiki Master, Certified Life Coach, Ordained Minister, and Spiritual Teacher.
Christine began her studies independently in the categories of spirituality, psychic and paranormal phenomena, meditation, mediumship, and spiritual healing. Although she learned and practiced these subjects regularly, Christine felt that professional studies would benefit her even more and ventured into getting a degree in Parapsychology and Astrology, a Bachelors in Spiritual Healing, a Holistic Health Practitioner certification, and a Natural Health Consultant degree. This goes to show just how much Psychic Christine has dedicated to her work and how much information she has to share. She holds a high level of compassion for teaching and learning about spiritual development, the understanding of the mind-body connection which includes the human psyche, and ultimately helping others continues to drive Psychic Christine’s desire to absorb and expand as a person and a professional.

Levar Fisher is an awarded college athlete who became a successful pro, captaining not one – but two NFL teams, and later taking that leadership role to the stage as a sought – after motivational speaker. His amazing story has inspired audiences’ nationwide - receiving praise from notables like author and speaker, Les Brown and former Florida State Football Coach, Chuck Amato. Surprisingly, Levar’s rise to the top isn’t because he hasn’t made mistakes...but because he has made the mistakes and has learned how to channel them into positives.
Growing up in a small eastern, North Carolina town, Levar didn’t find a lot to keep him out of trouble or way from a Burger King. Subsequently, he received his first motivation for success from bullies who made fun of his weight and his dreams of playing professional football. A few years and lot of hard work later, Levar was recruited by North Carolina State University, attending on a full football scholarship. He made 1st team All - ACC selection in 1999, claiming that honor again in 2000 and 2001, as well as ACC’s Defensive Player of the year. He was a Butkus Semi Finalist for Best Linebacker in the Country 2000 and 2001, and a 2000 Bronko Nagurski Finalist (Best Defensive Player in the Country). You don’t become that good as a linebacker without a few tackles (try 492 for a career), and when you are really competitive, you lead the nation in tackles per game with (15.1, 166 for the year).
Today we're going to chat with Levar about his story, the work he does with youth and learn what it means to be "More Than a Pro."
