Sydawnie here! Tonight we twist it up. I'm joined by special guest host S.Y.A. (a.k.a. mista Luva Luva) and we are doing a special show called EROTIC SUBLIMINAL PORTRAITS!! That's right baby. I want you to explore the power of words with me. All pieces tonight will focuse on painting a picture with WORDS. NO MAIN BODY PARTS (D*&K, P*&%Y, A$$) or use the words F89K or SEX. Think that's too hard? Well then you might not make it past the game we're gonna play. After the first hour we're gonna play a spin off of PICK UP THE PEN. I'm gonna place you guys in teams and you're gonna be put on the spot to write a collab before the chosen song stops. Contestants will be scored by the hosts and a winning team will be chosen. So get ready for a jam packed night of fun!! And as always, we'll light a candle, play some mood music and recite each other poetry... and if you get the erge to serenade me... well... that's perfectly fine too! Just make sure you don't come empty handed! Oh... and btw... don't forget to call before you come (call-in number 646-200-0568), and make sure you ring my bell (press #1) so I know ur at the door (on the line and want to speak).
See you when you get here!!

Our Guest: A graduate from the Académie Charpentier School of Visual Art in Paris in 1999, she worked in the music industry for seven years. Disillusioned by a world driven by mass consumption, she left her work environment and found refuge in Saint-Louis, Senegal, hometown of her father. She discovered her extended family and started portraying them. Delphine then creates the Magic photo studio, homage to Malick Sidibé’s photo studio. She adds collages, drawings and colors to her photographs, to underline the emotions of her subjects and tell the whole story. In 2008, the French-Senegalese photographer moves to New York to live her artistic life, considering that Paris is not the right place for an artist to emerge. She realizes that mixing mediums of expression is a powerful way to describe the world she is trying to capture. On a trip back to Paris, she met Peter Beard and shares her first series of mixed media portraits. Impressed with her creativity and spontaneity, he offers her to collaborate for the Pirelli calendar photo shoot in Botswana. In August 2010, she travels to the Crow country. It opens her to a completely new world, a greater and new vision. She witnesses a progressive resistance among the Crow members, reviving their traditions and rituals. Delphine is amazed by their hospitality and their kindness, a very different experience from the negative image of Native Americans often broadcasted by media. Besides the spirituality and symbolism of their dances, she feels the urge to portray family reunions. The elders recount stories to the young crowd, leaving their western clothes behind to dress like real Indians. Delphine Diaw Diallo is transformed, she believes her art connects with spirits and hopes spirits will help detach humans from the material world. In 2012, Smithsonian named DelphineDiallo one of Photography’s Emerging Stars.
Join us this coming Wednesday (Sept 10th) at Noon ET on Women Warriors as we discuss the topic of “What Afghan Women Warriors Can Teach Us” with our special guest Peggy Kelsey. Peggy will talk about what she has learned from her studies and work with these Afghan women. I know we can take away some great tips from these women warriors so don’t miss our show.
Peggy Kelsey received degrees in social work and education before undertaking extensive world travels. A professional photographer and resident of the Austin area since 1980, Peggy was privileged to meet with a delegation of 14 Afghan women who passed through Austin, Texas in the fall of 2002. The strength, humor and resiliency of the women she met was contrary to the media image (at the time) of Afghan women as helpless victims. This dichotomy inspired Peggy to create the Afghan Women’s project and in August and September of 2003, Peggy spent 6 weeks in Afghanistan and returned with portraits and stories of 40 Afghan women.
She now travels around the country sharing her exhibit and slide presentations. In April of ‘07, she traveled to Jordan to do a similar project with Iraqi refugee women and in the spring of 2010 returned to Afghanistan for two and a half months. Her latest book, Gathering Strength: Conversations with Afghan Women, is now available. Visit her website at http://www.kelseys.net to find out more.
Join us tonite as we welcome back to the program Lenon Honor. In honor of his ground breaking tome, "The 911 Fear-Based Mind Control Program" we will take a critical look at the fear-based propaganda that has mushroomed and balloned onto the scene in the last 6 weeks, leading up to the 13th anniversary of 9/11. Lenon Honor writes: Each year, within the 6 weeks leading up to the anniversary of September 11th, 2001, you will find a massive infusion of stories reported on by mass media that have a subliminal resonance with September 11th, 2001.
Some of these stories include: 1. Terror Threats / Cyber Threats 2. Bomb Threats 3. Al-Qaeda / ISIS 4. Osama Bin Laden / Super Villain Archetype 5. Plane Problems 6. National Security Issues 7. Pastor Terry Jones 8. Credible But Unconfirmed Threats 9. New York City / Ground Zero 10. Homeland Security The current terrorist threat propaganda is nothing more than psychological manipulation which is designed to trigger the trauma of September 11th, 2001. Lenon Honor’s book “The 911 Fear-Based Mind Control Program” also provides solutions as to how the global population can resolve the trauma of September 11th, 2001. In resolving the trauma the global population will be empowered to step beyond the limiting restrictions of subconscious programming and embrace the power of conscious creation void of perpetual fear.
Lenon Honor is a writer, musician, video producer, talk show host, and counselor. His website www.lenonhonor.com has provided a wealth of information and inspiration in regards to manhood, fatherhood, marriage, children, family, and personal growth. His book can be found at www.lenonhonor.com/911
Tonight, Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx Interviews: Marshall Dane.
Marshall Dane’s infectious blend of country and rock is set to blaze a trail in the summer of 2014. Country by definition, but fueled by rock and roll and infected with a watermelon-sized helping of hope, love and salvation, Marshall’s the kind of guy you want to have on your side when the going gets tough in this world and his new album “One Of These Days” is set to be your alibi.
Marshall Dane has been slowly bubbling up to this moment. With “Alcohol Abuse” now released to radio across Canada and the United States, 2014 promises to be the Year Of The Dane.

After years of adopting rescue dogs, I've been inspired to paint them, along with other pets...oh, and people, too!
My earliest art-related memory occurred in the first grade when a concerned Sister Therese sent me home with a note for my parents—along with my “detailed depiction” of Adam and Eve without benefit of fig leaves. I wish I had saved that drawing.
I went on to major in Fine Arts in college and pursued a career in Graphic Design. Since 1993 I have served as co-owner and creative director of Design III. When our business went virtual a few years ago there was more time to spend painting and now my portraits, landscapes, and still life works hang in numerous private collections across the country.
I have found great satisfaction in capturing the true essence of my clients’ subjects in these unique portraits and I also support rescue groups across the country by donating portraits at fund raisers along with percentages of new commissions.
