A Just Cause Coast 2 Coast - Victims Behind U.S. Prison Walls

    in US Government

Lamont Banks, Dennis Merritt and Lisa Stewart of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.

Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Lamont, Dennis and Lisa will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.

Our Special Guest for tonight's show is Danny Salado, who is advocating to stop prison abuse and neglect in our U.S. prisons. He recently lost his brother Ronald Salado on April 2, 2015, who was serving time at a Florence Correctional Complex in Colorado due to prison abuse and neglect of medical treatment.

A Just Cause is currently campaigning for "FreeTheIRP6," who's been wrongly imprisoned in Florence, CO for a crime they didn't commit. Read full story: www.freetheirp6.org.

The Goddess Rising Network : The International Genocide Against Black People

    in Current Events

What were the factors that led to this potential unraveling for the growth coalitions?

Urban renewal increased tensions rather than resolving them, leaving cities in a greater state of fear and uncertainty.
Demands by African-Americans to integrate neighborhoods and schools put the growth coalitions in a bind because they feared increased white flight if the demands were met. Most growth coalitions tried to walk a tightrope, some more successfully than others.
Many local banks and corporations were bought up by even larger corporations from outside the city, or moved their headquarters to even larger cities, leaving the growth coalitions holding the bag. Some growth coalitions then fragmented.
Up-scale neighborhoods, environmentalists, left-wing activists fresh from Civil Rights and anti-war struggles, and well-educated high-tech workers passed slow-growth legislation or blocked specific projects in some cities.
Low-income people in small towns and urban neighborhoods, often led by women and minorities, became part of an environmental justice movement that resisted the creation of chemical dumps and waste treatments plants in their areas (Szasz, 1994).
Unions based in service workers and government employees later joined the slow-growth, pro-neighborhood coalitions in some major cities.Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. 78% of their clinics are in minority communities. Blacks make up 12% of the population, but 35% of the abortions in America. Are we being targeted? Isn't that genocide? We are the only minority in America that is on the decline in population. If the current trend continues, by 2038 the black vote will be insignificant.

Community Stories: My New Wolfdog Puppy

    in Education

Wolfdog Radio: Your Voice, Your Time will sit down with special guest Kat Wolfdancer to discuss life with wolfdog puppies! Members of the Wolfdog Community will join us around the table to ask questions, share their experiences, offer advice, or simply just vent!

Sharon Green will also join us for a special interview to share her training methods, struggles, and stories while raising her two wolfdogs, Shango (high content) and Neeka (low content). Sharon will also stick around for the remainder of the show and offer her advice along with Kat!

Raising a wolfdog puppy can be a highly rewarding experience, but it can also be a challenge, especially during that crucial first year of development. It’s very easy to become overwhelmed. Sometimes this can leave your head spinning, and your days filled with frustration and concern that you’re not applying the “correct” methods and therefore jeopardizing the bond with your animal. Do not feel alone, we ALL go through this!! From the beginning to the ending stages of puppyhood, wolfdog owners experience a variety of challenges.

No matter the content of our pups, there seems to be general consensus across the community that most, if not all, wolfdog owners go through similar challenges. Some of these include: resource guarding; rough play; mouthing/biting; socialization; car sickness; exposure to novel stimuli; and choosing the correct diet. We want to explore these topics and the various methods used to deter such unwanted behaviors. It’s important that we all have the opportunity to learn from one another.

"What works for one, may not work for another. It’s always best to have a bunch of different tools to choose from."

Let's Talk...God is not Religious - The Person of the Holy Spirit

    in Christianity

Participants are encouraged to present their spiritual questions, queries and struggles, whereby the host will attempt with the aid of scripture and the Holy Spirit's inspiration to provide adequate instruction, correction, inspiration and encouragement.  Comments and exhortation may also be solicited from the other participants within the bounds of relevance and congeniality.  The overall objective will be to create a liberated atmosphere where people feel free and comfortable to share their concerns and get their longtime, internalized questions at the least addressed and ideally answered.  This format is being employed to stir discussion and participation amongst God’s people and counter the current spectator, one-way monologue program that is being practiced in most contemporary church worship services today.  The goal being to allow the Holy Spirit the freedom, time and interaction to bring knowledge, wisdom, healing and support to the members of Christ’s body, for one another and by one another.  As well as, inviting outside seekers of truth into a non-intimidating, non-traditionally religious setting of dialogue, where they can pose their questions without fear of judgment and openness and acceptance in a spirit of love and mutual engagement.  Join us as we pierce through the darkness & cut our way through the murky waters of what Christianity has become today, so as to find the freedom that Christ intended us to have, in the same way he taught & shared when he walked & lived life among the people. What was the Act's Church & were we meant depart from it into what Church has become today. And if we have, how did we get there? Join us as we unravel these questions & tackle many more which has made Christianity into what it is today.ian faith.

DERRICK WORSLEY MAN ACTOR BUSINESSMAN ROLE MODEL

    in Radio

Derrick Worsley grew up with a father in the Army, which acclimated him somewhat to the military lifestyle as a child. However, it was never consciously engrained that he would follow in his father’s footsteps, nor did he have an understanding of the sacrifices involved in participating in the military. When his attempts at college proved unfruitful, he found that he felt a calling to join in his father’s legacy and so enlisted in the army.

While in the army, Worsley served tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other foreign countries. It was there that he had to adapt to a variety of cultures. Worsley describes his Army experience as making him “whole” in a way that made him more mature, grounded, and responsible. It was in fact his leaders within the Army that inspired him to continue his education to what eventually constituted a Masters degree. That education was applied to entrepreneurship, which took the form of an online company, DCdiscountOutlet.com, LLC.

As an actor he is a host of DIY Network’s “I Want That” and a recurring role on ABC’s “Nashville.” Tyler Perry’s studio brought him in for “The Have and Havenots” and he’s also done a variety of commercial work with many other projects in the pipeline. Currently, he’s working behind the scenes on Plus Size Diva’s the Musical and Movie and will also portray the character of an arrogant businessman George Lamiry.
