    Darrel Gardner Horsemanship Show

    in Social Networking

Join me Ronald Spikes Corey Jackson and our guest Reggie of Stack House Stables tonight

Darrell Gardner's Horsemanship was founded upon four principles:

    Showing Your Horse Love
By expressing love to your horse it helps to build a good relationship and strong bond. This will lead to a better response from your horse.

    Gaining Respect
If you don't have respect on the ground, you won't have it on the saddle. Respect is an essential part of horsemanship and it begins with good ground manners

    Teaching Obedience
Obedience comes with consistent training. This teaches your horse what you expect and how to quickly respond to the cues given.

Loyalty between the horse and trainer
It all begins with gaining trust. Your initial approach is extremely important. It takes patience and time to get your horse to gain faith in you.

BOWL SEASON AND THE CONCLUSION OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON

    in Sports

We are quickly approaching the end of one incredible college football season. A season of change and a season that embraced alot of new promises. As we make our way to the end of this college football season we have all come to realize that the apocolypse that the projected 4 team playoff was suppose to cause did not materialize. We have a great matchup of games for the new years day semifinal games that include: The Rose Bowl Matchup of the (2) Oregon Ducks v. the reigning Champion (3) Florida State Seminoles. And a Sugar Bowl Matchup of the (1) Alabama Crimson Tide v. the (4) Ohio State Buckeyes. Let's all get our popcorn ready as we prepare to see who will make it to the championship game in Dallas; at Cowboy Stadium 2 weeks later to decide the 2014 - 2015 National Champion of Major College Football.

  • New Era Pinstripe Bowl Pregame Show

    in Sports

    Game day is finally here.

After a 7-5 season, the Boston College Eagles are in a Tier I ACC bowl game against a big time opponent. After a controversial 6-6 season, Penn State is in a bowl game but trying to shake the stigma attached to the program imposed by overbearing and possibly illegal NCAA sanctions. The two programs are both rebuilding, and they'll collide at 4 PM at The House That Steinbrenner Built.

New York is the city that never sleeps, and we haven't slept a wink while getting ready for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Boston College and Penn State will fight for bragging rights at a stadium located right in the middle of the two campuses in one of the greatest cities in the world. Both schools have links to New York, and now it's time to get ready for game day.

We'll do final breakdowns on the field, and we'll talk with guests and your calls about final expectations on the game. We'll give the comprehensive guide to New York City (if something like that exists), and we'll get ready, finally, for some football.

Boston College-Penn State. The New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Can you believe it's here?

Exploring Israel, Dr. Seuss’s Legacy and Eritrean Art

    in Travel

Just for Christmas... NBC News correspondent and former Middle East Bureau Chief, Martin Fletcher, joins World Footprints to share his new book, Walking Israel.  Fletcher’s book chronicles his adventures and insights as he walked along the coast of Israel meeting people and immersing himself in his surroundings.  We will discuss some of the misperceptions that some have of Israel and why a visit to the historic country is worth considering.

Then, the art of human rights in the African Nation of Eritrea takes center stage as we introduce you to artist and activist Elsa Gebreyesus who is using her art to encourage hope, preserve history and fight political oppression across an ocean.

Finally, “Who-ville” comes alive and everyone from Horton to the Cat in the Hat raises awareness of a variety of social issues when curator Bill Dreyer takes us inside the art of Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss).  Dreyer represents the Art of Dr. Seuss and he will tell us why Dr. Seuss was ahead of his time with his art and its commentary on everything from discrimination, the environment, to the state of the economy.
