Frank Vivacqua - World Healing Ministries - Missionaries to India

    in Christianity

Frank and his wife Carla are missionaries to India. They help the orphans and hold crusades. They have seen many healed and delivered. They are going back to India really soon. But before they go, Frank will impart into the American Bride a word for the hour!

God has put it on their hearts to establish this ministry to bring healing and deliverance to nations and set the captives free.

Here is some information on Frank and Karla:

Karla and I both have a heart for planting churches, missions and evangelism in third world countries for God. We currently are involved in CEM Ministries in India where there are three hundred children in the orphanage there, a hospital built by donations that cost one million dollars to build, a christian school and a school where the children will get credit with the local school district all on CEM’s Christian campus. CEM currently has two hundred and sixty eight churches planted under them and we are seeking by God to plant one thousand churches total.

We are planning to spend more time in India and possibly live at CEM to be full time missionaries in the near future. Right now Karla and I serve as Missions and Evangelism department head leaders and are in the worship team at World Over Comers Church in Bartlett Illinois soon to be Encounter church. We are both thankful to God for what He has done in  our lives and we are looking forward to be a part in the Kingdom of God moving forward in the world.

The Frugal Foodie with Host Terree Rola talks about Craft Beer in San Diego

    in Food

San Diego County has been called "the Craft Beer Capital of America," home to 97 licensed breweries & brewpubs, with 41 more in the planning stages. San Diego County's numerous internationally recognized and award-winning breweries have created a beer culture that is a draw for foodie and craft beer tourism, particularly during major festivals such as San Diego Beer Week. Launched in 2009, San Diego Beer Week is now a ten-day county-wide festival, held in early November and aimed at both local residents and tourists. In 2012 there were more than 500 events scheduled during Beer Week!

For the first part of the show, I'll be talking about the influence of craft beer and the craft breweries on the food scene in San Diego County. For the second half, I will be joined by Executive Chef Alex Carballo, Former Executive Chef for Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, who recently partnered with industry veteran, Jon Mangini, to launch URBN Coal Fired Pizza in El Cajon. He will be talking with me about how the beer culture is growing in the East County; and, about the upcoming EC Craft Beer Invitational benefiting local charities that serve adults and children with developmental disabilities and the San Diego Brewers Guild.

    EC Craft Beer Invitational
Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (PDT)

John Carver Show - Why the Wait???

    in Religion

Maybe life’s “delays” are meant for us to exhaust every human means possible?!?!

    Eric Speir writes:
In studying the lives of these great people, I've discovered 4 reasons God makes us wait:
    1. Waiting Reveals Our True Motives
Waiting has a way of bringing out the best and worst in people. People who don't have good motives won't wait long because they're not interested in the commitment it takes to see something through. They're too interested in short-term gains or success.
Most of us have good intentions, but a lot of what we want to accomplish is an attempt to make a name for ourselves or for our own egos. It hurts to say this, but it's often true.
    2. Waiting Builds Patience In Our Lives
Patience in waiting for small things leads to having patience in the bigger things. If we can't wait for God to do a small thing, we certainly can't wait for something bigger.

    3. Waiting Builds Anticipation
Why do children get so excited around Christmas? Because the wait has produced anticipation. We tend to appreciate things the longer we have to wait for them.
    4. Waiting Transforms Our Character
Waiting has a way of rubbing off the rough edges of our lives. Most of us know the story of Moses delivering the Israelites from the Egyptians. It's a grand story of God doing great miracles.

We married in 1988 and began our family in 1998.  Those ten years were very long and painful.  There was a purpose in the waiting.  We just didn’t see it or want to see it at the time.

One of the biggest difficulties, for some, is to keep moving forward while you wait…to constantly be learning in the waiting room.

Do you take opportunities to learn something while you wait?
