    NABWIC Talks with PR Pres Ann Marie Sorrell of The Mosaic Group

    Ann Marie Sorrell is the President and CEO of The Mosaic Group, a full service marketing, public relations and event management firm. Under Ann Marie’s leadership, The Mosaic Group have obtain contracts with many organizations including state agencies Florida Department of Environmental Protection, South Florida Water Management District, nonprofits like Big Brothers Big Sisters, and corporate companies AECOM.


    Ann Marie received a BS degree in Healthcare Management from Florida A& M University and a MBA from Nova Southeastern University.  She is an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College where she teaches Principles of Business, Small Business Management and Human Relations. 


    Ann Marie currently serves as a Board Member for the Paragon Foundation, Pace Center for Girls and the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. She also serves as the Chair for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She has held several leadership positions as a volunteer including the Urban League of Palm Beach County, Co-Chaired several committees with the Black Chamber of Commerce, Board Member and Secretary for Girls II Women for nine years, Committee Co-Chair for the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Junior Executive Membership Program and EWPB Membership Committee, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Ann Marie also volunteers her time speaking to students & building positive relationships, career development and entrepreneurship throughout Palm Beach County through programs like the Urban League Youth Programs, The Girls Leadership Institute, and Turning Point Academy.


    Ann Marie recently received the 2013 Caribbean American Community Change Maker Award. In 2010, she received the South Florida Business Leader Women Extraordinaire Award and was recognized by Success South Florida Magazine as one of the Top Leaders under 40. Ann Marie was also a 2007 Athena Award Finalist.

    Vic Sorrell is a born communicator. He hails from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia, his home until the ripe age of 17, when he boldly moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in pursuit of a country music recording contract. After several years of the “music business ride” Vic discovered spirituality and, most specifically, the work of Marianne Williamson which shifted the trajectory of his life significantly. Since 2005, Vic has served numerous Unity and Center for Spiritual Living congregations across the United States as a vocalist, songwriter and even Associate Music Director at Unity of Nashville.


    As half of the Inspirational music duo, Source, Vic won a Posi Music Award for Music Video of the Year in 2012 and was voted “Nashville’s Inspirational Person of the Year” in 2013.     Susan Sorrell creates what she calls “Southeren  Fried Fiber Arts” with amazing detail, use of color and many mixed media pieces she creates her fiber art which tend to jump off the fiber and into your creative soul. Her art makes you smile and discover something new every time you look at one of her pieces. She also paints with the same passion creating canvas that tell the story in living color.


    Susan has been working in textile art since 1998 using paint, needle and thread, beading and embellishing on fabrics to express herself. She is not afraid of color and creates some of the most interesting and intricate designs that I have ever seen. Today, she'll share what inspires her to live the creative life.

    Judith Bogner, Former Bloomberg TV Host

    Judith Bogner is a well-respected financial television presenter and experienced event host for the corporate world. For more than ten years she was one of the main European anchors of the financial news channel Bloomberg Global Television. Since May 2013 Judith has added Commercial Mediation (Alternative Dispute Resolution) to her tool box.



    Between May 2001 and October 2011, she anchored and reported for many of Bloomberg's top European-based programs both in English and German language. She also regularly delivered business news updates for partner media outlets such as Bloomberg UTV India, Bloomberg HT Turkey, N24 and F.A.Z. Radio in Germany.



    Her experience extends over a wide range of topics from developed economies to emerging markets, from corporate and business stories to politics and economics. One area that has always remained of special interest for Judith is China as a result of her university studies and work experience in Shanghai and Taiwanese family background.



    She also conducted countless interviews with market players in the international financial community as well as political and business leaders, such as European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton, former ECB Chief Economist Juergen Stark,  Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche, Nestle Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, Royal Bank of Scotland Group CEO Stephen Hester and WPP Group CEO Sir Martin Sorrell.



    Judith studied in Germany and China and holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts from the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen and a degree in Hotel Management.  She was born in Germany and is currently based in London. She has lived in China, Ukraine, France, Italy and Switzerland. She is bilingual in English and German and also speaks Italian, French and Mandarin Chinese and has some knowledge of Spanish and Russian.

    THE RETIRED ENLISTED ASSOCIATION (TREA) was founded in 1963 by two men retired from the Air Force, Master Sergeants George Skonce and Dean Sorrell.  They realized that they and their fellow enlisted retirees had no voice in the corridors of power to stand up for their hard-earned rights and promised benefits.  The men and women  of TREA are from all branches of the United States Military – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves.

    Brenda Wright is the Vice President of Legal Strategies at Demos. She has led many progressive legal and policy initiatives on voting rights, campaign finance reform, redistricting, election administration and other democracy and electoral reform issues and is a nationally known expert in these areas. She has argued two cases before the U.S. Supreme Court: Randall v. Sorrell (campaign finance) and Young v. Fordice (voting rights). She has written extensively on democracy and voting rights issues in both popular and scholarly publications. She appears frequently in print and broadcast media on these issues, and testifies regularly before Congress, federal agencies and state legislatures.


    Before joining Demos in 2007, Brenda served as Managing Attorney at the National Voting Rights Institute in Boston.  Brenda also served previously as Director of the Voting Rights Project at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C.  She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Board of Directors of Common Cause Massachusetts and the advisory board of the Prison Policy Initiative.  She received her law degree from Yale Law School and her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College.
