    The Path of Self-Discovery . . . Emotional Healing

    in Health

Self-discovery is an act of finding out or learning for the very first time something about yourself and life that you were previously unable to recognize.

Aristotle said. “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” This means that you need to know who you are then everything is open to you. Without self-discovery you don’t know what direction life is taking you. You also don’t know what you want to do in life and will not to be able to make important decisions.

Life, in its mysterious ways gives us many opportunities to discover the wisdom of our bodies, the nature of our personalities, and the powerful blessing of love. Are you ready to discover the blessing of love buried within you?

Join Dr. Darren as he takes you on a journey of discovering the power with you to reconnect, balance, and thrive.

ADHD & Companion Conditions: A Journey of Self-Discovery

    in Self Help

As is the case with many people with ADHD, Charley Burt is successful, smart, funny, and compassionate. But she doesn’t just have ADHD. Companion conditions typically co-exist with ADHD, and in Charley’s case, her special genetic make-up includes Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as well.

In our conversation we also touch on how familial suicide has impacted both of us and fueled our passion to share with others the struggles involved in all forms of mental illness.

You’ll surely enjoy Charley’s warmth and good nature as you listen to her share stories of self-discovery and self-disclosure mindful that these are both still a work in progress. She’s untangling what’s what. Considering that all of her, as she calls them, acronyms, have overlapping symptoms, determining what physical ailment is contributing to which mental issue is a puzzle she’s determined to solve.

In fact, through the encouragement of a geneticist, she is in the process of setting up genetic mutation testing through 23andme! Personally, I can’t wait to find out what more information she’ll find out and share. She’s promised to come back and give us an update but don’t wait until then. For more about her journey go to embracingadultadhd.wordpress.com and subscribe. She writes almost every day something about her ADHD and its effects on her life and relationships.

The Metaphysics of Ping Pong: Table Tennis as a Journey of Self-Discovery

    in Spirituality

The Metaphysics of Ping Pong: Table Tennis as a Journey of Self-Discovery, by Guido Mina di Sospiro

From celebrity clubs, like SPiN in NYC, owned by Susan Sarandon--which is mentioned in the book--to pro athlete competitions, table tennis--already the second largest participatory sport in the world--is currently undergoing a huge renaissance in the U.S.

"There are two breeds of ping-pong players: empiricists and metaphysicians," says Guido Mina di Sospiro. "By adopting anti-spin paddles, empiricists declare explicitly who they are and what they stand for.

“Metaphysicians, on the other hand, are fascinated by the mysteries of spin, which propels them, willy-nilly, into the realm of four-dimensional, nonlinear geometry. They strive to bend the laws of physics by giving the ball the exact arc it needs to touch the deep end of the table rather than go long."

The author clearly plays in the latter court. He explores the worldwide passion for table tennis by bringing in Plato and Aristotle, the Perennial Philosophy, and the psychology of C. G. Jung. Topics range from the importance of finding one's guru in the game, to the shadow side of competition, to ping-pong as a form of initiation vis-a-vis Chaos Theory.

Guido Mina di Sospiro has been fascinated by table tennis since childhood and regularly plays competitively. He has written four books that have been published around the world and maintains a blog on the web-magazine Reality Sandwich and on the alternative views website Disinformation, both based in New York City.

A Conversations on Self Discovery with Sri Mooji

    in Spirituality

Sri Mooji is the special guest joining Life Coach Ade for an ENCORE PRESENTATION “A Conversation on Self Discovery with Mooji.”

"Tune In" Life Coach Ade and Sri Mooji will guide you through your transformation journey to a deeper awareness of who you are on the Ask Life Coach Ade Radio Show.

Sri Mooji is a direct disciple of Sri Harilal Poonja, the renowned advaita master, or Papaji, as his followers call him. In 1987, a chance meeting with a Christian mystic was to be a life-changing encounter for Mooji. It brought him, through prayer, into the direct experience of the Divine within. Within a short period, he experienced a radical shift in consciousness so profound that outwardly, he seemed, to many who knew him, to be an entirely different person. As his spiritual consciousness awakened, a deep inner transformation began which unfolded in the form of many miraculous experiences and mystical insights.

Since 1999, Mooji has been sharing satsang in the form of spontaneous encounters, retreats, satsang intensives and one-to-one meetings with the many seekers who visit him, from all parts of the world, in search of the direct experience of truth. Few amongst the modern teachers of the advaita tradition expound the 'knowledge of Self', and the method of self-enquiry, with such dazzling clarity, love and authority. There is an energy that radiates from Mooji's presence, a kind of impersonal intimacy, full of love, joy and a curious mix of playfulness and authority.

Knowing your purpose is a self discovery process ( Repeat from last week)

    in Spirituality

Knowing your purpose is a discovery process, it is not something that you will discover by completing a personality assessment or taking a weekend retreat to the mountains with a famous guru.  Although, it may include these things it’s not the whole picture. So, I want to invite you to consider rediscovering parts of your journey, to create more win- win situations and less roadblocks and obstacles.

I also want to invite you to consider a plan that is more creative and imaginative, as a substitute to a plan that is fixed and narrowly focused.  Today we are going to override the patterns that have become the antagonist to our paths and life story.Today we will also address the notion that, there are people for everything and the importance of how our purpose reveals our impact.
