America, the Fourth Reich: The Religious Beliefs of the Candidates; Debates

    in Culture

The Church the Source of Culture

Secular academics insist that the Church is a subset of culture, and that it synthesizes the evolving political and social consciousness of people over a period of time.  Religious people say that the Church is the source of culture; the values of the culture have their origin in the spiritual life of the Church, and that the Truths of the Church are not derivative, but original, absolute, and even comes from an UnCreated Sacred Source that is Supernatural to the mundane reality of regular life.

    The Attack On the Church

The attack on the Church has been political, and it has been social. Political in that it challenge and redefined the consult of the office of political authority, political sovereignty, and the role of the peoples to the crown, or the political authority. Even though this has happen, human behaviour towards authority has not changed,

Social changed in moral  who defines what morals a society follows, and how to enforce or allow for difference.

"Teen Sex Trafficking: America's Dirty Little Secret"

    in Self Help

Shockingly, between 300,000-400,000 children are exploited commercially in our nation for purposes of sex each year, many of these children are being shipped, or trafficked, across international borders each year. For these thousands of children, a life of horror and danger is forced upon them as they serve as prostitutes for local and global organizations. Children who fall victim to the sexual exploitation of human trafficking tend to come from several different backgrounds. They may be runaways, victims of prior sexual abuse; homeless; children looking to belong, hoping to find acceptance and love. Dr. John DeGarmo, expert in foster care expalins how our National SuperBowl weekend has the highest rate of child sex trafficking per year.   http://drjohndegarmofostercare.weebly.com

PBC Allegedly losing $446,127,000 Are Rumors True? Are They In Trouble?

    in Sports

On This Super Bowl Sunday Edition, the gang will discuss the rumors of the financial losses of PBC and if they are in serious trouble or not?Waddell & Reed's Investment in Haymon: $82 mil. Remaining (of $521 mil.) as of December 31, 2015, self.Boxing
    submitted 9 days ago * by jimwilson128

Building off of my last post of the Q3 results from the mutual funds managed by Waddell & Reed that invested in Haymon:
Acquisition cost (initial value) of combined investment: $528,481,000
Value of combined investment as of September 30, 2015: $214,288,000
Value of combined investment as of December 31, 2015: $82,354,000

To date, the investment made into Media Group Holdings, Series H (which invested in Haymon Boxing) by the three Waddell & Reed funds (Ivy Asset Strategy, Ivy VIP Asset Strategy, Waddell & Reed Advisors Asset Strategy) has lost 84% of its value. At this rate, the investment will be worth zero dollars by the end of February, which implies that Haymon will run out of funding at that time.
Edit: Headline contains a typo. Should say $528 mil.

And, of course, we will be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. From Alumni to first-time callers, we encourage everyone to call 646-478-3068 to voice your opinion. Marissa Rooney’s daughter, Brooke, has been missing for days. Her roommate hasn’t seen her since that night in the bar. Standing in the middle of her daughter’s dorm room with a half-used vial of insulin clenched in her hand, Marissa comes to the terrifying realization that if she has Brooke’s insulin, it means that Brooke does not.

The missing person’s investigation takes a sudden and deadly turn when the police discover the body of another college student who went missing a week before Brooke. Desperate to find her daughter, Marissa fears time is running out.

But she isn’t alone in her terror. A phantom from Marissa’s past is lurking in the shadows, waiting in the night, and holding her family captive… In the dark.

“An edge-of-your-seat suspense novel. It scared the hell out of me. Read it with the lights on!”–Robert Dugoni, Amazon #1 and New York Times bestselling author of My Sister’s Grave.

Sacred Sunday~Colossians, Chapter 1/ Jesus-The Most Interesting Man in The World

    in Christianity

    Hello Again

Hey, there! Paul again! This time he's writing to a group of Christians in Colossae which was located in what's now Turkey. He starts out by thanking God for the Colossians. They know the truth about Jesus and they're living good Christian lives because of it. See, they found out about Jesus from this guy named Epaphras. He's told Paul all about his little students in Colossae. It was a good report. Paul still prays for them that they'll be strong in faith and keep growing and learning about God. Knowledge is (spiritual) power. God rescued all his followers from a life lived in sin and darkness. Now they're forgiven and hanging with God in his amazing kingdom.  All this happened because of Jesus. He's sort of a big deal. Jesus is the physical image of God, who is invisible. He helped the Big Guy when he was creating the world.  Everything that exists was created through Jesus and for Jesus. He's more important than every single thing and his very existence holds all of creation together. If the church is like a human body, Jesus is totally the brains, says Paul. He's always first in everything. He was also the first to die. Well, to die on a cross to save all humanity. Because of that God wiped the slate clean with humans and started over fresh. But seriously, Jesus is probably the most important and interesting guy in all of creation. As long as they keep the faith, Christians can keep these good times with God going. All they need to do is believe the stuff that Paul's told them.  All his struggles are for something greater than him. He's fighting the good fight for Jesus and to spread God's word around the Roman Empire. He chose Paul to tell all this stuff to Gentiles and help them to come over to the light side of the Force. So Paul's not worried. Even if he has to rot in jail.
