The charming seaside town of Spring Lake at the Jersey Shore features uncluttered beaches, quaint shops, and historic bed and breakfast inns that are the showpieces of this Victorian village. These comfortable and elegant inns offer travelers a place to create vacation memories. The weather is getting warmer and before long tourists from near and far will want to escape to the Jersey Shore. Spring Lake offers an idyllic setting for a weekend getaway. Located 65 miles south of New York, Spring Lake has everything for a relaxing weekend: great accommodations, fine restaurants, a quaint commercial district, and gorgeous beaches. Meet Mari Kennelly, Innkeeper of the White Lilac Inn, circa 1880, located in a peaceful corner of Spring Lake just a stone’s throw from Wreck Pond, and only a few blocks to the Atlantic Ocean. This B&B has eight air-conditioned guest rooms perfect for a getaway, fireplaces in every room, and modern amenities such as whirlpool tubs and wifi. Kennelly, who is a former art teacher, has a challenging job as innkeeper. She caters to her guests, serves them breakfast daily, maintains the inn, and keeps everything running smoothly. Remember the TV show starring Bob Newhart as an innkeeper in Vermont? It’s not exactly the same! But Mari will share what it is like to be an innkeeper and some great stories as well. After the interview, check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

Welcome to the Let's Talk! Going Gym Free with your hosts Marc and Beth and today's special Guest Graham Finn, Director of Business Development Houston, Performance Energy Services.
Today's Topic of Conversation: "Low impact versus high impact exercise"
In Graham's words:
The cover photo in the slide show is of Graham and his wife after the 70 miler Tour de Houston. Graham stated that his wife was pretty miserable after doing her first 50 miler in 24kt winds…I felt amazing.
I’m the business development manager for PES in Houston, Texas. I’m a lifelong PASSIONATE athlete who was hobbled ten years ago by a freak accident that permanently damaged my hip. I’ve been on a quest to find the right balance of exercise, weights and diet to keep and maintain a healthy outlook about staying fit and sharp. My job, if you can call it that, as I LOVE what I do, puts me in restaurants and events around town that could lead to a big weight gain so I have to discipline myself to stay in the best possible condition for what my body will allow me to do. I know that real health is a true, mind, body and soul experience and that’s what wellness is to me.

Most Americans think that laws exist requiring shoes to be worn while driving a car, going into a store, or eating in public.
ZERO such USA states have such requirements.
Not only that, but there are HEALTH BENEFITS to not wearing shoes.
Most people have been told otherwise, so the average person wears flip flops - because they do not WANT to wear shoes, but afraid of violating laws (that do not exist)
