My educational background is in Economics and Finance, with a degree from SMU. I’ve supported the small-business sector throughout my career, first in helping to increase efficiency and reduce cost in the processing of payments, and now in the funding of their business growth. I’ve been managing the Sales team at Nextwave Funding for the past three years.
After 2008, traditional banks tightened lending criteria, specifically in small businesses worldwide. We found that there was a big opportunity to support what we saw as an underserved market. If we could fund this market faster and more affordably than others, we would have a strong position, even if banks do ultimately return to the small business sector.
