    The Power of Thought

    in Spirituality

Very ffew of us realize the true power of a single thought? It is written that a single thaought has the power to overcome death, Dead Sea Scrolls. A single thought can change a life and even ruin a life? A single thought has the power to create a reality and the ability to create fiction as well. The human is the only living thing in our world that has the ability to think as the Dead sea scrolls also state. There are so many types of thoughts, negativity, insecurity, selfishness all of these have the ability to impact our lives individually and collectively. It was written that a single thought is more powerful tha an earthquake? Consider that for a moment does a single thought have that power and ability? According to our ancients that is yes? Join Liar Covert and Steven Hairfield, an American Monk live for the Power of Thought.

Jesus Can Calm Your Storm ! Gospel of John Series Continues!

    in Religion

Starting in John 6:16 we see that Jesus is able to calm a storm that had suddenly erupted on the sea. The desciples were in the boat when the storm arose. The clouds were threatening, the waves were crashing into the boat, the sky was darkened, and the desciples were filled with fear! Jesus was not in the boat at that time. When Jesus got into the boat though.....the storm ended and they arrived where the Lord intended them to be......even though they were not where ohers had expected them to be. Most of Jesus' desciples were fishermen and they should have been used to storms on the sea.........but this storm really tossed them with fear untill they invited JESUS into their boat. Join SONSHINE USA Bible teacher Warren Landis on today's exciting Bible Study in John's Gospel! Stay tuned!

    Honoring The Price Of Freedom

    in Christianity

Our Grandfathers, mothers, sons and daughters fought valiantly for our freedom today. And while the barbecue picnics, dinners and fireworks are a great time to spend with our families, friends and loved ones...which were also free to enjoy, we must not forget how much that freedom cost us. Our brave men and women of the armed forces fought through pain, agony, blood, sweat and tears for every citizen of the United States as well as for each other so that we could experience the great joy of freedom on American soil. But there is indeed another kind of freedom we as children of God must not forget.....Our freedom in Christ. And yes it came with a heavy price tag, one that would lead our Lord and savior to the cross being spat upon, cursed at, mocked and shamed for all the world to see. Our sin nailed him there and freed us from the bondage of sin. For some of us we still find ourselves battling and struggling with the same issues of sin. May God help us to not forget what that freedom cost, and may he prick our hearts and minds to remember the great price and ultimate sacrifice of Jesus by living in the true freedom found in Him rather than staying inslaved to sin. This would be good for us to reflect and recall Christ great love for us, which shows how much we honor the price of our spirtual freedom.??

BRPP: The Interviewers Presents Freedom's Hands, the Memorial Day Special

    in Radio

Memorial Day is a time to honor those brave Heroes who did not make it home. A common theme on the show is that of the "Blank Check" signed by those who take the oath to defend the constitution and the American way of life. Sometimes the price ultimately paid for our freedoms is the life of someone who put on that uniform. The Memorial Day Special which airs a day after the holiday is set to honor these heroes. We encourage people to call in with poetry to read, stories to tell; and messages to spread. Let's make this the biggest, best episode of Freedom's hands yet!

The Gettin It In Show: Whats the difference between a Blackman and a Ni**a

    in Radio

Contrary to what many may think, there is a difference
between Black people and niggas. Define the Black Man? Define a Nigga? Was one once the other if so how and why? Please review the list below I gathered from a website called Assata Shakur Forums. What are your thoughts? Does it appear to be true? Why are we battling with ourselves as a people? As awakened individuals should we turn our backs on our bruthas and sistas that claim to be niggas?

Black people spend thousands of dollars on higher education and see the value of owning real estate.
Niggas spend thousands of dollars on ''getting high" and are concerned only with keeping' it real.

When Black people have children, they try to get better paying jobs to make
sure they can support their child...
When niggas have children; they change jobs to avoid paying child support.

When Black people have children, they invest in college plans, piano lessons and braces...
When niggas have children they invest in designer clothes, platinum jewelry and mini-Air Jordans

Black people watch out for their neighbors and understand the importance of strong neighborhoods...
Niggas watch their neighbors, and look for an opportunity to take advantage of their weaknesses.

Black people appreciate the sacrifices made for them by, their families to help them get ahead in life...
Niggas will sacrifice their Families and steal from them in order to get their next high.

Black people appreciate expensive jewelry designer clothes and nice cars but realize that they don't make the person....
Niggas define themselves by their designer clothes platinum jewelry and nice cars.

A Time to Honor Those who served, and gave their all!

    in Christianity

Like many of you, several members of our family have served in the United States Military.  We have family that have served as Firemen, Police Officers, and other emergency services.  We honor all of you today with this show!   We understand that the call of duty affects those that serve and their friends and family.  Today is the 147th year our nation has honored those that gave the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their life in service to another!  Here at your place, we have given honor by sharing stories of our brave men and women who have recieved the highest honors for service above and beyond the call of duty.  We shared with you a two part story with my son and his wife on his service in Iraq.  My son returned from Iraq with PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Tramatic Brain Injury).  They were very open with how this effected them. I remember the nights we had soldiers call from Iraq letting us know they enjoyed this show! I remember the fear in one man's  voice as he asked us to pray for his unit.  We hope to honor them tonight with this show. The last thing we want is to stir up your emotions and then you do not feel a call to personally honor these brave men and women.  Pease remember to take time today to pray for the families and friends of our brave fallen men and women.  Then in your own way, show thanks for their service.  We are shairing a program with you that is helping our wounded vets. It's called "The Wounded Warrior Project".  http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/   You can go to their web site to find what they do. For less than most of us pay for a good meal you can provide monthly support for this program that aids your returning injured warriors.  Is your grattitude worth less then $20 a month? Please, check out this great program!

Ber Careful If You Think You Stand LEST You Fall

    in Current Events

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
