Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals. It's been a pretty wild week for the Cards, with plenty of runs and a good number of wins. Daniel Shoptaw (C70 At The Bat) and Tara Wellman (Bird Seeds) talk about the surprising offensive explosion and how long it might last. With Ruben Tejada on his way back, what does that mean for Aledmys Diaz? While much of the pitching has been good--and Jaime Garcia was amazing--Adam Wainwright has continued to struggle. When do we start worrying about him? All that and much more!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, and Let's Go Mets!
Alas, the final weekend of Winter is at hand, leaving us a mere 17 days away from the New York Mets regular season opener in Kansas City against the Royals.
Tonight, our 128th episode of the Rising Apple Report will review highlights of the first 13 Spring Training games played to date.
We'll also delve into Sandy Alderson's remaining financial ability to enhance this year's roster. One thing, however, seems certain - Ruben Tejada will likely not be part of it, as he was released. And so, we'll take another look at the team's potential back-up shortstop situation.
We'll also discuss Matt Harvey's slider, reasonable expectations for David Wright and Neil Walker, if Jacob deGrom's symbolic refusal to sign his contract should be of any concern, and much more.
Rising Apple staff writers Michael Lecolant and Rich Sparago will host this evening's show starting at 9pm (ET) sharp, featuring special guest John Pielli of the Passed Ball Show and MTR Media.
And of course, you're always welcome to call (646-929-0337) and join the conversation.

Hello baseball fans and welcome back in for another edition of The Rosterbatorical, the official MLB Daily Dish podcast. Chris Schubert and Matt Goldman are back again this week with more injury news to talk about. Both Jered Weaver and Jarrod Parker went down with injuries, both of which could impact the rest of their playing careers. The guys took a closer look at the Angels roster, notcing that their isn't a ton of depth there.
Then they moved to Pittsburgh, where former Angel David Freese signed. Both guys think this is a very typical "Pirates" move as they are able to transform players and get the most out of them.
In the same division, the Cardinals have an new need for a shortstop, and they are looking at Ruben Tejada of the Mets. Pair that with the rumor that the Mets are looking for a backup catcher, and some potential deals could be worked up.
They close the show this week by talking about some guys, rather unknown talent, that they are excited about in 2016.
2:45- Jarrod Parker injury
8:31- Jered Weaver injury
23:19- David Freese signs with the Pirates
28:59- Cardinals looking at Ruben Tejada
35:55- Talking about the future of baseball
