Battle at the ballot box: your civil right and civic duty to vote.
In Hong Kong there are tens of thousands of protesters in the streets because their vote has been marginalized by state selection of candidates. Meanwhile, back in the US, citizens are fighting to exercise their civil right and civic duty to vote.
In North Carolina there is much to celebrate after a federal court of appeals blocked at least part of the voter suppression law in that state.
Reverend Barber from the NAACP Moral Monday Movement spoke to the laws and to a voter misinformation mailer put out by The American Prosperity Foundation, funded primarily by the Koch’s on All In with Chris Hayes yesterday. Your can watch the segment here.
Today is October 2nd, and election day is November 4th, so in every state in the union it is not too late to register to vote. If you wonder what the registration dates are in your state, click here
On today’s Lunch with Louden we will discuss the challenge of voting in America, and hope you will call in to discuss your state’s efforts to empower or suppress the vote.
LUNCH with LOUDEN
Jeanene Louden and co-host Debilyn Molineaux talk about current events and look for opportunities to bridge political divides, expose corruption and share information not covered in mainstream media. They also take the lead in keeping Coffee Parrty members and followers in the loop.
White skin people have more control. Black skin people find themselves being told what to do and when to do it. Well, it is not exactly this way but there was a time it was only this way. Inequality in America is about the color of a person's skin. There are other issues but the greatest of them all are the color of a person's skin. Today, there are those who would choose for it be back as it once was. The best thing to prevent America going backwards is voting. Lots of Americans do not vote. For whatever reasons lots of Americans will tell you they just don't vote because it doesn't do any good.
Well if you go into a store to make a purchse, you have to shop around and find what you want. You may see several different kinds but you have to decide which one is best for you, based on a variety of issues. If it turns out the brand you selected was a mistake, the next time you pick another brand. You continue until you have what is best for you. If you don't make a choice, you get what the store owner want you to have, or you get what is left over. This is a lot like voting. It does help when you made the choice. If the choice proves to not be best for you, you don't choose that one the next time. You have to come to understand come Nov 4, 2014 there will be voting across America. Every person of voting age and eligibility must help the country by voting. People need jobs, a raise in minimum wages, immigration reform, the right to vote is being threathened, medicaid expansion and even the newly Democratic ACA law, is under threat of being repealed. All these issues and many others are at stake of being lost to the millions of Americans if not enough Americans go out and vote Nov 4, 2014. Register to Vote. Get out the Vote. Vote in the midtern elections for Democrats for better choices after high school /college.
America is living in days of oppression and only the masses can fix this problem. How else would you explain working class people, poor people, and almost in poverty people, not voting, or voting for millionaires and billionaires who have created a country of inequality tht is getting worse for at least 1/2 the population? Here's how to fix it? This is September 2014. Go out this month and register to vote and tell everyone you know of voting age to register this month and vote. November 4, 2014. The problem in America today is the wealthiest 1% have captured control by way of politicians. America is living lives of fright and oppression. The problems we face are inequality. Judicial. Social. Economic. The way we fix these problems is via our laws. Change the law makers. Change the laws.
Citizens of the poorest of Americas cities and states are frightened almost unto their deaths. They are barely surviving. and they fear what their employers can do; they fear what the courts and police can do; and those who know politics, fear what politicians can do. This is the last opportunity for the masses to do what only the masses have the numbers to do.
Vote for Democrats and
save the Affordable Care Act;
Renew UI benefits;
Raise minimum wages;
Strengthen the unions;
Repeal Stand Your Ground;
Equal laws for LGBT;
Infrastructure Bill will be passed which will create jobs by bringing our roads, highways and bridges into the 21 century.
Yesterday's show I explained the V formation of the Geese. The time has come, workingclass spread your wings and soar. This is where I am hoping we can all come to a reasonable solution to see the best America ever in the next decade. We can't get there by attacking as we are witness way too often today. The more varied groups come together, the more ti gift of ignorance attempts to divide. What's going on in America today that causes unrest? Too much sitting, talking, wishing, hoping, hating and not enough deliberate proactive problem solving. No one can do everything. Everyone can do something.
What are your efforts to build a better economy?
Why is it that facts evade your consciousness leading you to spew out erroneous stuff?
When did poverty errupt in America and who do you hold responsible for growing poverty?
Make a list of accomplishments of Bush/Cheney
Make a list of accomplishments of Obama/Biden
Which duet Republicans or Democrats gave Americans a better America. Make this decision based on facts surrounding accomplishments only. Not based on how you voted. Not based on you not voting at all.
Come Nov 4th, we get to vote for the people who will better improved the quality of life for all Americans.
Poor people, we can vote our way to prosperity. The wealthiest of Americans and foreigners use US politicians to gain access to riches. The wealthiest of people pool their interest and gain access to politicians in a group called (ALEC) American Legislative Exchange Council. Poor people do not have equal access and so goes poverty. People in poverty do not and never have had equal access socially, judicially nor economically. Unless members of the working class stand up to the top 1% of wealthiest of Americans things get worse, not better. Look around you and never expect more, because there is no way to make something out of the nothing you see. You have to be willing to change. If you want something you have to create something. There isn't much poor people can actually create with limited funds. But poor people, we can create a conglomerate, that stands for political change, and expects to gain access to necessary elements to change poverty into a life of prosperity according to your desires. Voting is the way to prosperperity for the rich and the poor. Put voting first America. Register to Vote and use the vote to hire people who will perform the necessary actions allowing you opportunity to prosper from your efforts. And it is time we begin the serious talk about time limits and loss of jobs for US Senate and Congress.

This show is as special Labor day show for people who work for their money. Those who work for their money and have great jobs this labor day can thank union members for the opportunity to have a paycheck and other benefits that comes with the paycheck. You owe union members before you owe the corporation you work for. If you have a union you can join, you should do so this month. If you have no union available, you can support union members and you can register to vote, talk to your elected officials about jobs and homelessness in your city and vote Nov 4 for the people who will support jobs and not outsourcing jobs.
The under employed who have a job can thank union members for the jobs available for many of you today and for the opportunity at hand for you to join a union and make life much better for your and those who depend on you. Being in a union brings more opportunities to employees. Union representatives can negotiate for workers and employers are willing to negotiate when they know these are the wishes of the workers. You can be instrumental in a better America by registering to vote, contacting your elected official about the need to raise minimum wages, and be sure you go vote Nov 4th for the person who is for more jobs for Americans, and against outsourcing US jobs.
Those jobless today you have some serious decisions to make. 25-30million of you need jobs. You can encourage corporations to create jobs by registering to vote during September 2014, by contacting your elected official during September and make clear that you will vote against their job if you are not working come November 4, 2014. Then you go and boycott businesses that refuse to hire, and you join protest against politicians.
Our economy is making more money that ever. Our #workingclass citizens are not reaping the strength of our economy. Your November 4th 2014 vote is the way to improve the USA economy. The top 1% of the wealthiest of Americans are grouping together to get everything the desire. The workingclass are busy looking for the next paycheck, a new car, better living conditions. There has been a reduction in the jobless rate, but more should have been done. We have a political challenge in America and only voting will term limit the people who have caused the political challenges. November 4th is the opportunity for workingclass Americans to improve the US economy.
Politicians have failed to make decisions to improve lives of workingclass citizens
CEOs are outsourcing rather than hiring workingclass citizens
Courts are passing judgements against workingclass citizens and favoring the weathiest of the sides
Voting is not a chore. Voting is not a waste of time. Voting is a solution. Voting is the way for workingclass citizens to level the playing field. Politicians know the workingclass holds the power. CEOs know the workingclass holds the power. Courts know workingclass citizens will relieve them of their oppressive control to rule the workingclass, once the workingclass wise up and use the collective strengths to improve the USA economy. Yes the wealthiest 1% of America owns over 50% of the wealth of America and the wealthiest of Americans recognize the power is in numbers not money. The workingclass out numbers the wealthiest. The way to improve our economy is to vote.
Your vote on Nov 4th either improves, destroys or stagnates the US economy. How you vote today decides your ability to provide for your family today, your families opportunities in the years to come, and your retirement years.
One thing your intrepid and always opinionated host on SevsDeadSerious has learned over the many years is that the biggest problem that Democrats and the left have that never seems to bother conservatives on the right is that liberals don't get off their ass to vote. More particularily those inclined to not vote skew twards minorities and the poor...those most affected by the draconian policies of the right. In Hong Kong, where recent protests have crippled the city, 97% of the population votes...In the US we are luck in a mid-term election to see 35% of eligible voters voting. Why are we worried about voter ID laws when most Americans won't get off their ass to vote...it makes NO sense. And don't worry with all the BS here and abroad, there will be plenty more for MOI' to enrapture the multitudes with.
Voter fraud? Say it isnt so! Why are the people running for office also counting the votes?
Changing lives every day of the week!
