March Madness: An in-depth look at the Midwest, West Regions

    in Basketball

In the Midwest Region, Kentucky locked up the No. 1 overall seed through their perfect regular season. With that, the committee did the Wildcats a favor in my opinion by giving them the worst 2-seed in Kansas. The Jayhawks aren't bad, but when looking at the other 2-seeds, they don't appear as dangerous. I'll go through each game in the Midwest and talk about the realistic possibilities of Kentucky falling before the Final Four.

In the West Region, Wisconsin got the 1-seed regardless of what was going to happen in the Big Ten championship game (according to the committe). Looking at the 2-seed, Arizona speaks to my point about Kansas. Outside of the two heavyweights in this region, who else has a legitimate chance at making the Final Four?

A Variety of Meatless Monday Dishes from Different Regions of India

    in Cooking

Adding some Indian dishes to your repertoire will provide you with some bold flavor options for your meatless menus. These meatless dishes will appeal to vegetarians and non-vegetarians,who want a variety of flavors and textures, while still being very budget-friendly. I've broken up Indian cuisine into 6 regional types: Bengali, Jewish Calcutta, Anglo Eurasian Christians of Calcutta, Parsi (Persian) Zoroastrians, Hindu & Muslim Kashmiri, and the Tibetan Buddhists of Darjeeling.

Indian cuisine includes an array of exotic spices and vegetables for ingredients, so I will be spending a bit of time describing and giving tips on the preparation of these items, including where they can be found.

Spiritual Psychology with Dr. Maurie Pressman

    in Self Help

Author and Professor Dr. Maurie Pressman will be our special guest speaker today, on a rebroadcast show, to talk about Spiritual Psychology. Re: what this concept is, he says, "There is a power within your mind that is hidden from you as well as others. When you find it you will have the ability to do minor miracles such as to heal yourself and others, to know yourself and your ability to influence others silently, to move your performance up and up, and to love, love yourself, others  and  all creatures  better - much better. It is the power that leads to success in your own field in your own way."

Spiritual Psychotherapy. This combines the best of traditional western practices with the high and powerful regions of the mind.

Dr. Pressman's continued explorations within traditional psychiatry, holistic-spiritual psychotherapy and eastern philosophies has proven to be a wonderfully successful alternative to the sometimes limiting constraints of traditional western psychiatry.

Neter Sesen Book 19 Verses 29-30: Then, having summoned to these splendid regions of ether the souls of every grade, He said to them: " O souls, beautiful children of my breath and of my care, you whom I have produced with my hands, in order to consecrate you to my universe, hear my words as a law:--Quit not the place assigned to you by my will.

The abode which awaits you is heaven, with its galaxy of stars and its thrones of virtue. If you attempt any transgression against my law, I swear by my sacred breath, by that elixir of which I formed you, and by my creative hands, that I will speedily forge for you chains and cast you into punishment.

Candelo's Corner curses, hexes and crossed conditions.

    in Spirituality

There are many forms of religio-magic and spirituality from around the world. Most have ways to address the common human conditions and human needs like money, love, protection and healing.

Another human condition that seems universal is an individual's ways of dealing with real or perceived enemies, troublesome individuals and rivals -- commonly referred to as curses, hexes, crossed conditions.Every culture seems to have versions of this. Even in regions dominated by mainstream religions and spiritual beliefs that don't consider themselves magical, curses are all-too common. The most common of these is The Evil Eye, practiced around the world.Though we'd like to believe otherwise, curses are commonly cast. You may never know when you have angered the wrong person or have something they want. It's a wide, wide magical world out there, and not everyone is playing by the same rules. So you must protect yourself and defend your family. So how do you know if you've been cursed or crossed? What can you do about it? What can you do to prevent it in the first place?Tonight we will learn some of the common signs of magical meddling from different traditions, as well as ways you can keep yourself protected and know when something needs to be removed so that you can have the life you were meant to have
