Today, Pop Art Painter, Jamie Roxx welcomes the Birmingham UK Hard Rock/Sleaze band Lovebite.
The powerful and boisterous group formed by virtuosic front-man Jonny Sparks boasts a striking visual presence and hedonistic reputation rivaled by few. Lovebite's music is complex and gritty, with a solid hard, driving base; they are dark, sleazy, dirty and powerful - everything that good rock should be.
Having established themselves in record time as one of the UKs premier up-and-coming glam/sleaze bands with their heart-pounding and high-minded debut album 'LOCK 'N' LOAD'– Lovebite deliver an uncharacteristic fusion of hard, thrashy guitars and unique songwriting techniques, with a limber rhythm section that keeps the music loose yet powerful… and HIGHLY addictive.
With the zeitgeist dictating that the relevance of an album as an art form is under close scrutiny, debut album LOCK 'N' LOAD is a superlative, rip-roaring triumph that simply must be experienced from start to finish.

Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx, welcomes back Country Cowboy, Doug Briney
With the release of his debut album, It’s All Country, in early 2012, (and its re-release on CBM Records in 2013) Doug Briney showcased his signature sound, which he cultivated from years of touring camps, churches and conferences across the US. “We even played in an airport once, to impress a pretty girl for one of the band members,” he says with a laugh. Blending traditional influences from country music’s past, like the Gatlin Brothers and Kenny Rogers, with modern contemporaries like Toby Keith and Trace Adkins, Doug created an original, honest and authentic sound all his own. The collection of well-known country hits and new covers peaked at #6 on the Roots Music Report True Country chart, where it remained for 8 straight months. The album also charted at #11 on the itunes Country New Release chart, with 3 singles receiving international airplay and chart action, leading to more than 300,000 Youtube views between them.

Storytelling as an ancient art form and a valuable form of human expression. In Rolf Jensen's The Dream Society, he predicts: "The highest-paid person in the first half of [this] century will be the 'storyteller' [...] valued for his or her ability to produce 'dreams' for public consumption."
People are captivated by a good story. They enjoy two types of stories: one with which they can identify or relate to and one that allows them a view into the lives of other people. This is why reality television has soared in popularity. We really can't help our curiosity. People love to know what is going on in other's lives. Storytelling is an ancient art that has never lost popularity. At one time it was the stuff that legends were made of. Now it's a way in which we connect and share. It's also a valuable skill to learn.
Cortney McDermott says, "How can you grow rich in any field? By mastering your story. No one else has your story. It's your snowflake, your unique contribution."
