The Pet Place Radio Show Orig. Airdate 4-18-2015

    in Pets

Some years ago, when I was a Lieutenant with Orange County Animal Control, I was asked to train deputy sheriff recruits in the area of dealing with protective animals at crime scenes or other emergency locations.  This came about after a beloved family pet was shot and killed by deputies who had responded to a burglary-in-process call at a residence.  That event made it painfully clear that many law-enforcement personnel had little to no training in dealing with protective animals and resorted to immediate lethal force when confronted with a family pet.  Of course, one of the best bits of information all emergency personnel can use before they arrive to the scene of an emergency is whether or not a pet is there.  And thanks to Smart911, a new service for pet owners, this information is being made available to emergency response agencies.  Jessica Rose from RAVE mobile Safety will be by shortly to tell us about all the details. Then after our halftime break, Ashley Cunningham, the president and founder of Barks of Love Animal Rescue will be checking in to talk about all the latest news from her organization and tails with happy endings.

    Talked about (among other things):

The intense energies felt during the last few days.

The message about the energies from this post.

We’re all undergoing strong shifts in awareness, upgrades in our bodies.

The connections of Hawai’i to the rest of the world, via this newer point group of “younger” generation Hawai’ians, many of whom are of mixed background.

Journey to O’ahu next week… dissolving grids. And a vacation (of sorts).

Make A Wish, Adventure Travel Law and Globetrotting Lessons

    in Travel

Travel is one of the most transformative life experiences anyone can have.  It can renew one’s energy, bring immeasurable joy, even inspire a life’s direction and encourage hope.  The Make A Wish foundation understands the power of travel.  Since 1980 the organization has granted over a quarter of million wishes for children with life-threatening diseases.  75% of the wishes involved travel.  Josh deBerge from Make A Wish joins us to share some inspiring stories and how the organization (with your help) can continue bringing hope and joy into children’s lives.

For people like us we felt we needed to choose between our legal careers (yes, we are both lawyers) and travel.  However, Chun Wright, combined law with her passion for travel led her fill a void in the travel industry.  Chun has carved her space as an Adventure Travel Lawyer and is considered the preeminent attorney in this emerging legal field.

Bob Hemphill has spent the better part of a decade racking up millions of airline frequent flier miles traveling the Globe helping to build a multi-billion dollar solar energy company from a start-up.  From his service in the Vietnam War to international business negotiations and unique cultural practices, Bob has seen and done it all.  In his new book,  Dust Tea, Dingoes and Dragons: Adventures in Culture, Cuisine and Commerce from a Globe-Trekking Executive, Bob shares hidden gems and 5 rules for international business travelers.

    Mana Talk w/ Jim Young...

    in Politics

    Aloha! Welcome to Mana Talk!

First off… This isn't an "enjoy the show"  blogtalkradio show with pet humor and cooking tips etc. Ya, sorry, it's actually a political needed warning, an alert, and hopefully you can take my show seriously – to a certain extent, and take the best course of action.  Or, you will begin to further witness the decay of the United States of America and this planet.  Will you be the 21st Century Republican reason why our nation was bought and sold to the highest "foreign" and domestic 1% corporate and individual bidders for their further abusive and corruptive desires, or will you be one of those that actually became involved, supported me and my blogtalkradio show, and stood with most democrats and smart independents?!  Sorry, can’t think of a single Republican that cares.

If you are with me here, then got to http://www.gofundme.com/purpose-earth and get my progressive voice and other like-minded on AM radio, AGAIN!  We need to take back AM the radio airways from the Koch’s and the 1%!

Don’t be remembered as that lazy idiot that just sat on his or her hands and did nothing while it all further fell under 1% control, OR sponsor/share/support me, and/or become involved in the brilliant process of the Wolf-pac!

    Mahalo!
