Fall is here! How fitting that this month's series is about Seasons and Reasons. One thing that is for sure is that seasons change. Whether we change with them or not, they will move on without us. We can prepare as much as we like, but what happens when the season doesn't look the way that we hoped it would? What happens when all of your sowing appears that it hasn't paid off? What if you weren't quite ready to move on?
We're going to through Ruth chapter 4 verses 13-17 today, and we'll take a look at how God restores those who are faithful to him.
Get your pens, pads, and laptops ready!

#1: Are you using ONE main concept or idea?
Here’s the problem, you learned somewhere along the way that if one offer is good, then two is better. And if two is good, then 5 must be better. If 5 works, then why not 12?
#2: Is your subject line compelling?
Don’t be clever, funny, cute, boorish, or use double meanings. Those just dont’ work.
#3: Is your content interesting (and short)?
Make your content interesting by writing the message to one person the way you’d explain it in person… and you cared about it.
#4: Is your message or offer clear?
We’ve covered short but I have to make clear a separate category. Clarity trumps almost all other considerations in your email. If you have to stand on your head to come up with a clear message or offer, do it.
#5 How are you using benefit statements?
I’m on hundreds of lists… and I hardly EVER see a benefit used. Here’s how you tell if you are using a benefit. Tell me your message.
6. What is your you vs I count?--remember WIIFM
Once you write your email count how many times you use the words, “I, me, mine, our” vs “you, you’ll, your, you’re.” You’ll soon find you talk about yourself too much.
7. What is your call to action?
Every single email should have a call to action in it.
People who should listen to this show are entrepreneurs, career coaches

Joshua 8, Deuteronomy 27:13–18 and Deuteronomy 28:1-7
As one reads through the Book of Joshua it becomes apparent that an important truth isn’t HOW God accomplishes victory in His people; the important truth is that God DOES it and we don’t!
So God’s methods may change, but God’s personality, character, and principles NEVER change.
So we learn this about the nature of God in Joshua 8: First of all the waywardness that He pardons as seen in His people Israel and then the wickedness that He punishes as seen in the people of Ai.
And if we don’t see both of them we don’t have the big picture of Almighty God.
For God is a God of both goodness and severity, of both mercy and judgment.
And this brings us to a third point, where we will spend our time together in this message, and that is,
3. The Will that God permits
So just what IS "the will" that God permits?
God allows a man to choose whether or not he will be blessed or cursed.
God allows a man to choose whether or not he will be pardoned or punished.
So we can choose; it’s up to us!
There's a valley of decision between a mountain of misery, and a mountain of mercy.
And we can have either one, it’s up to us.
So we can be like Israel or we can be like Ai, it’s our choice.
Now God loves us but He is a Holy God and if our sin is not pardoned in Christ it’ll be punished in Hell.
There’s no in between; there's no alternative.
So EVERYBODY must come to a valley of decision.
Tune into this message to hear about the 4 reasons we ought to choose the mount of mercy instead of the mount of misery…

A holy day set apart each week for rest and worship. After God created all things, he rested on the seventh day and commanded that one day each week be a day of rest to help people remember him (Ex. 20:8–11).
The Sabbath reminds people of their need for spiritual nourishment and of their duty to obey God. When a nation grows careless in observing the Sabbath, all aspects of life are affected and its religious life becomes decayed (Neh. 13:15–18; Jer. 17:21–27).
