In a very special presentation, tonight former colleagues and author interviewers Stephen Campbell, host of the Author Biz and Pam Stack, host of Authors on the sit down to discuss authors, books and interviewing.
Join these two book nerds for a LIVE chat about the best job in the world.
About Stephen Campbell: Before getting into the business of writing I spent twenty-five years in the technology business as a financial guy, and then as a serial entrepreneur. I know what it takes to start and run a successful business. Will that experience translate into me becoming a successful author? Ha! The answer is no, of course not. But I did learn a few important lessons while running my own businesses. One of those was importance of being guided by experts. I'll be bringing those experts in on a weekly basis so we can all learn from them.
About Pam Stack: I've always been a voracious reader plus a public speaker so when I was asked to co-host a radio talk show, it seemed like the natural next step for me. I love hosting the Authors on the Air radio show and being the executive producer of the Authors on the Air Global Radio Network. I get to speak to the most interesting people; I'm the luckiest blabber-mouth in the world.

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack presents a LIVE interview with two very popular authors. In the first half hour we will chat with Mike Faricy, author of the Dev Haskell series. A bit about Mike: The Dirty Lowdown called Mike Faricy America's hottest new mystery writer. Robert Carraher and the Irish Gazette referred to him as Minnesota's Master of the Bizarre. He has been nominated for a Minnesota book award. All his books are stand alone, they can be read in whatever order you wish. They're filled with the sort of oddballs we're all curious about, but wisely prefer to keep at a distance. Visit Mike's Amazon page at http://amzn.to/1uJhpzn . In the second half of the show we will speak with Sean Sweeney. And now, a little about Sean: Sean Sweeney's love of reading began in 1988, when he was handed J.R.R. Tolkien's classic The Hobbit, and was given a needed boost with John Grisham novels and the Star Wars Expanded Universe. His passion for writing began in 1993, as a sophomore in high school, when he began writing sports for his local newspaper. Visit Sean's Amazon page at http://amzn.to/1zawB5o.

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes debut novelist KAREN DODD. Here is a little about Karen, in her own words: My first novel, "DEADLY SWITCH: A Stone Suspense," was published in December 2013. A suspense thriller, DEADLY SWITCH takes you on a wild ride through three countries. Murder...intrigue...a romance built on a house of cards:this thriller will satisfy your thirst for the adrenaline rush that the intricately plotted story delivers. A delicious stay-up-all-nighter,DEADLY SWITCH stuns with its heart-pounding conclusion. I love teaching new and emerging authors how to develop their platform, while writing their books. I call it, "building the plane while flying it." It can be a little hairy, but fun! I am a proud past president of the North Shore Writers' Association and I continue to attend and support that organization. For more about Karen please visit her on the web at http://karendodd.com

Pam Stack, host of Authors on the Air, is pleased to welcome back to the studio, Chuck Greaves. Based on a trove of newly discovered documents, Tom & Lucky (and George & Cokey Flo) tells the true story of a singular trial in American history: an epic clash between a crime-busting district attorney and an all-powerful mob boss who, in the crucible of a Manhattan courtroom, battle for the heart and soul of a dispirited nation. Blending elements of political thriller, courtroom drama, and hard-boiled pulp, author C. Joseph Greaves introduces readers to the likes of Al Capone, Dutch Schultz, Meyer Lansky, and Bugsy Siegel while taking readers behind the scenes of a corrupt criminal justice system in which sinners may be saints and heroes may prove to be the biggest villains of all. Chuck Greaves spent 25 years as an L.A. trial lawyer before turning his attention to fiction. His debut novel HUSH MONEY (Minotaur), a legal mystery, won the SouthWest Writers' International Writing Contest, received starred reviews from both Publishers Weekly and Library Journal, and was a Critics' Pick from Kirkus Reviews. HUSH MONEY has been named a finalist for numerous national awards and honors, including the Rocky Award (Left-Coast Crime), the Reviewers' Choice Award (RT Book Reviews), the Shamus Award (P.I. Writers of America) and the Audie Award for Best Mystery audiobook of 2012 (Audio Publishers Association.)

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes noir crime fiction author, ROB HART, who is also the associate publisher of Mysterious Press.Com. My first contact with Rob Hart was when I received his book 'NEW YORKED" and I blasted through it in one sitting. It was one of the best noir fiction novels I'd read in years. Here's what is being said about it: “The New York of New Yorked is a place of heartbreak and murder that I highly recommend you visit.” —Josh Bazell, author of Beat the Reaper. Also: “One part Dennis Lehane, one part Lee Child, and one part pure Rob Hart.” —Jenny Milchman, author of Cover of Snow and Ruin Falls. More: “Clever, witty, full of attitude—but never full of itself—Rob Hart’s debut novel doesn’t waste a syllable…” —David Corbett, author of The Devil’s Redhead and Blood of Paradise. It's my pleasure to speak with ROB on tonight's how. To find out more, visit his website at http://robwhart.com. THIS IS A LIVE BROADCAST SO JOIN US BY CALLING 347-633-9609.

He's a savvy guest, a terrific writer and a wonderful guest host (listen to his podcast with Daniel Palmer). Tonight we will discuss the craft of writing a thriller novel and James's writing process. He will also talk about his current release, THE PRETTIEST ONE. Here's a little synopsis: "When Caitlin Sommers finds herself alone in a deserted parking lot with blood on her clothes and no memory of the past few months, it seems like one of the nightmares that have tormented her for years…but it’s all too real. Desperate to learn the truth about where she’s been and what has happened to her but terrified of what she may find, Caitlin embarks on a search for answers. Her journey takes her from the safe suburban world she knows to a seedy town she’s never heard of, where a terrible truth from her past lies hidden—a truth she can’t quite remember yet can’t completely forget."
