Jimmy is a unique artist with over 20 years in the music industry. He has worked with such artists as Zebra, the Good Rats, Steve Morse, Robin Trower, Blackfoot, Wendy O. Williams, Loudness, Queensryche and producers Nile Rogers and Tom Werman.
Don't bother looking for a pigeonhole into which Jimmy Packes will fit. He just lives to rock and he rocks out how he wants. Which means he gets heavy with hard rock and metal, lays out the soulful blues grooves and just keeps it real with honest, straight up rock-and-roll energy. Packes packs a sound that sucker punches you in the gut and leaves you bleeding and begging for more.
Packes has been courted to play guitar for Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N Roses, Never the Bride, Faith No More, David Lee Roth, 21 Guns and others. Touring has carried him across the country and around the world. Packes is also the co-owner of Azimuth Jag Records (New York and London). The UK press declared him one of the leading instrumental guitarists on the globe following the release of his “Axxe to Grind” release and he was also invited to the Montreaux Jazz Festival. He has announced the forthcoming release of new music and is spending time teaching guitar, bass, band classes and vocal coaching at The Music Vault Academy in Southern California. Packes co-owns and is head engineer/producer at Holy Grail Studios at Nyack, NY.
“Guitarists at the pinnacle of their craft are few and far between. Let's just say it's been a long time since someone like Packes has come along and there aren't too many like him.”
In this episode of GaptoothDiva Radio, we talk to former inmate/prisoner, now inspirational gospel hip hop artist, songwriter, and singer Kent Osbourne. Check out more info about him at http://kentosbourne.com
No matter what you have done in your life or what you’ve been through, God can use you. God can use anybody!”
Kent Osbourne’s dad passed away when he was just 5 and his mom died when he was 9, leaving young Kent with his Aunt. At age fourteen, he found his Aunt’s rules too strict so he ran away. The streets proved to be a greater challenge still and Kent spent the rest of his childhood and young adult life in and out of county lockup until he finally landed a two year prison sentence. For more of his story, Tune in to hear how one man turned his mess into a message.

Sired by classic rock and modern metal ancestors, Tattermask of Charlotte, NC, commingles melodic relics of Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, Boston, and Whitesnake with modern riffage akin to Disturbed, Alter Bridge, Evanescence, and Sevendust to forge a fresh sound in the mire of mainstream active rock. Driven by dual lead guitarists Josh Wright and Travis Dry; powered by tight, expressive rhythms from Adam Blackmon on drums and Harley Quinn on bass; and garnished with vocals from Amanda Caines that go from Pat Benatar to Adele to Evanescence at the drop of a hat, sonic variety is the ultimate goal of Tattermask's catalogue of original tunes.
The band has just released their latest EP, Carpe Noctem, and they'll be on the show to tell us a little about it, as well as their upcoming gig on the Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock Tour, opening for bands such as The Agonist and Flyleaf; so be sure to tune in!

The roots of North Texas’ Metal Legends, WARLOCK, can be traced to the earliest primal stirrings of the Lone Star State’s embryonic Heavy Metal music scene. Certainly, there were rock bands playing the club circuit before Warlock emerged in 1981 and some of these bands would occasionally play an Iron Maiden or Ozzy song amongst their Bob Seger and Loverboy tunes. Pantera was among these cover bands and leaned heavier than some but their set consisted of a lot of “party” rock songs from Van Halen and Def Leppard. Warlock was one of the first, if not THE first local band to be “all metal, all the time” and, by metal, we mean the hardest, rawest, most uncompromising metal around in the early 80’s, following the same course as bands such as Motorhead, Venom, Exciter, Priest, Saxon, Holocaust, Raven, etc (in fact Warlock played covers by all of those bands).
The first line up of Warlock included Jerry Warden on vocals, his brother David on guitar, Casey Orr on bass and Harden Harrison on drums.
Tonight on Madness Monday we will be talking about everything that has happened in entertainment this week!!
From the BeyMinions going ham on Kids Rock's instagram for what he said about their Queen, to the ignorant Fashion police chick who said Zendeya looked like she smelled like weed because she wore some loccs to the oscars.
Thats not it, more fuckery… they trying to spin it to now make it all about Kelly Osbourne quitting because of the “rude remarks” her cohost made.. like gimmie a break!
& of course we’re going to discuss Lee Daniels & his comments on how hes a "SELL OUT" and on how he feels about Mo’nique being blackballed from Hollywood.
