In todays episode of the Bible Unfolded, we will go into depth of what The Lord our God mean when he made the statement to be sober minded, is that physically, literal or spiritual? Or could it be all of the above. If so how do we achieve this in the times we are in when the world arounds us tries to keep your mind bogged down and clouded with foolisness and sin? All these answers will be given in todays epsisode.

We should read and study the Bible because it is God's Word to us. The Bible is literally "God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:16). In other words, it is God's very words to us. There are so many questions that philosophers have asked that God answers for us in Scripture. What is the purpose to life? Where did I come from? Is there life after death? How do I get to heaven? Why is the world full of evil? Why do I struggle to do good? In addition to these "big" questions, the Bible gives much practical advice in areas such as: What do I look for in a mate? How can I have a successful marriage? How can I be a good friend? How can I be a good parent? What is success and how do I achieve it? How can I change? What really matters in life? How can I live so that I do not look back with regret? How can I handle the unfair circumstances and bad events of life victoriously?
We should read and study the Bible because it is totally reliable and without error. The Bible is unique among so-called "holy" books in that it does not merely give moral teaching and say, "Trust me." Instead, we can read it for ourselves.

Hr 1: Did you celebrate May Day? Do you know what it REALLY is? Communism Day! It has it's roots in organized labor from a time when we needed REAL worker protections. But it's morphed into something different now.
Hr 2: Michael Bloomberg delivers controversial commencement speech saying the most dangerous place on a college campus is a safe space, because it creates a false sense of security. AND... When a criminal dies in the course of committing a crime, the entitlement crowd wants to blame everyone and everything else when, in reality, the person’s death was entirely their own fault.
Hr 3: Obama says 2nd Amendment is worse than ISIS. AND... Noah's Ark sets sail for Brazil. AND... Gay judge denies traditional marriages. AND... Quoting the Bible is a hate crime at Catholic college.

The King James Bible is the one that all other versions are compared to, and rightly so. On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we conduct an honest and thoughtful comparison between the King James Bible and many of today's popular "best sellers". The results will surprise you, and in many cases shock you. Do YOU have the words that God wrote? Find out by tuning in!

Please join Dave the Mystic on Monday, May 2nd at 8PM MDT with guest author Kevin Schoeppel. Kevin was raised in in Southern Baptist churches, and began teaching the Bible in 1992. In 1999 he was ordained as a deacon by Pima Street Baptist Church of Tucson and in 2006 was elected Adult Education Director of the church. His interest in psychics began in 1975 with a girlfriend who could predict the future. This relationship sparked his interest in social attitudes towards psychics, and in how psychic ability actually worked. He married his wife Stanna—also a psychic—in 1978.
In the mid-2000’s, as paranormal-themed TV shows appeared, Kevin’s students had questions about what the Bible really said about psychics and mediums. Upon joining Facebook in 2009, Kevin friended several mediums who were happy to share their experiences with him upon realizing that he accepted them and their gifts. In 2010 he met Melanie Runyan, a medium in Kingman, AZ. She, along with Stanna, encouraged Kevin to write The Bible: The Truth about Psychics & Spiritual Gifts, which was published in 2013. He and Melanie remained close friends until her passing in March 2014.
As a result of the book, which teaches how the Bible supports psychic and mediumship abilities as true spiritual gifts, Kevin has been the featured guest on several Internet talk shows, such as David M. Baker’s Beyond The Gate Radio, Christina George’s Paranormal Connections, and Peggy S. Imm-Anesi’s Signs Our Loved Ones Send Us. His second book, Melanie: A Christian Medium’s Life and her Gifts of Spirit, to honor Melanie’s memory, was published in late 2015.
