Domestic Violence is real and entire families are being wiped-out because of it. Innocent children are being killed for no reason, fathers are taking out the entire family through murder-suicides.
Why does it seem to be increasing instead of decreasing with all of the organizations that are available with resources? What is.....does not work, there must be a new strategy put in place and incorporated. The spirit-man must be restored from the inside out.....brokenness, depression, low self-esteem,traumas from childhood all spill over into the adult life and are volatile if not resolved.
Do you know who you are allowing to come into your personal space? How do you know if they are right for you and your future...will you have a future?
Let's face hard truths that can help you make a better decision.

SUICIDE: WHAT ABOUT THOSE LEFT BEHIND?
We’ve all known a friend of a friend, or a family member, or even a celebrity who shocked and dumbfounded us because of his or her suicide. Your children may have school friends who have contemplated or carried out a suicide. Maybe a relative left you wondering for the rest of your life what you could have done. Perhaps you have had thoughts of killing yourself. Not a happy topic, for sure, but one which can affect all of us.
September is suicide awareness month, so this is a perfect time to discuss this topic and find out more about the whys and guilt that can accompany it.
Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman is responsible for research for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She also collaborates on the development of prevention materials such as films, programs and brochures.
Dr. Harkavy-Friedman received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Florida. In 1984 she joined Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute, first as an assistant professor and later an associate professor of clinical psychology in psychiatry.

Join host, Niyah Moore, as she interviews Author Ciara Webb about her debut release Murder N' Mayhem with Royalty Publishing House.
Ciara W. was born in Denver, on July 23. She was born with a developmental congenital disorder called Spina Bifida; which is Latin for "split spine" and she uses a wheelchair full time. Doctors were highly skeptical of her having a long life from this disability, but Ciara defeated all odds and is still living today in Aurora, CO.
Ciara's love for writing came in fifth grade for a writing project, which she won "best story" from a class vote. May 2014, Ciara signed with Royalty Publishing House.
Besides writing, Ciara enjoys watching television and movies. She is a huge fan of WWE & TNA Impact Pro Wrestling.
Ciara is also a huge fan of both Pro & College Football and Basketball. She definitely has to represent the home teams!
Join Mr. Brett A. Scudder and guests for The Correlation between Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder “PTSD” and Suicide.
About the Tour.
SISFI is hosting our Suicide Awareness and Prevention NY Tour on Sept. 17th - Oct 3rd across NYC, Long Island and Westchester to bring more awareness, services, programs and resources to address the increasing numbers of people facing serious life and emotional challenges, and human suffering with suicide ideations/thoughts, and supporting families who lost loved ones to suicide.
The theme of the tour is “Look into my heart and mind, tell me what you see”. It highlights the realities of not knowing what’s in a person’s mind or on their heart by what we see on the outside, and that we must engage in dialog and allow an open and comfortable atmosphere for people to open up and express themselves. The workshops and radio shows of the tour are scheduled at different times every day across the 3 cities.
We have aligned 15 community workshops, 3 luncheons and 15 radio shows to bring people, mental health professionals, energy therapists, health professionals, survivors and healers together to address this very serious and important topic affecting many people in our communities. While the community workshops are local in the 3 cities, the radio shows will have guests from across the country who lost loved ones, and practitioners who specializes in the support, treatment, recovery and healing of mental health, life coaching, emotional wellness and human suffering.
For full schedule of the tour check the website http://sisfi.org/suicidetours.html. Like the page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/sisfi.suicideawarenesstours and Follow on Twitter https://twitter.com/SuicideAPTours.
Please share and help to promote. For any questions please contact us at SISFI via (347) 817-8686 or Ask@sisfi.org.
Thank you and God bless. #OneLove
This weeks show is dedicated to suicide prevention day which was September 10th. It is difficult for adults to understand what would motivate a young person to take his/her own life. Changes in the behavior of a child are often seen as a phase they are going through-just a part of adolescence. This may or may not be the case. As parents and adults we need to be able to talk openly with our youth. Some youth in pain see suicide as their only option. We need to be able to recognize signs of concern and know how to react and get professional help if needed.
The first thing we need to do is to be well informed about the “Silent Epidemic” of youth suicide. Suicide is Preventable.
