Police Captain Dan Willis is a former homicide investigator and SWAT commander who has developed wellness programs and specializes in providing emotional survival and wellness training to first responders. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and the FBI National Academy.
Emergency first responders suffer immeasurably from being consistently immersed in suffering, danger, evil, violence, and tragedies that scar their souls. Offering advice and support for understanding the challenges of responding to violence and suffering, Bulletproof Spirit shows first responders and their loved ones how to protect and nurture their spirits, and also how to seek help and make effective use of the help that exists, from professionals, peers, and families.
Without specific training regarding how to protect, sustain, and nurture the spirit within, first responders will inevitably continue to become victims of the profession they love. Statistics and headlines speak for themselves as first responders fall victim to destructive habits and disorders, including alcoholism, gambling, depression, PTSD, emotional illness, divorce and broken families and worse — spousal abuse, murder, and suicide. “This leaves the safety of our communities vulnerable since the safety and well-being of any community is critically linked to the wellness of the first responder’s mind, body, and spirit,” according to Willis. Captain Willis is prepared to discuss with your audience:
Mrs. Jennifer Martin Author of a new book: Psorias- A Love Story. will be Tough Cookie Guest September 29th at 8:30 PM PST on Let's talk Real talk.Funny, factual, and over the edge, Psoriasis—A Love Story, tells the true story of Jennifer Martin's 30-year battle with psoriasis. Fed up with poor results from traditional medicine, she leapt out of its confines into an exploration of Eastern medicine, past life regression, soul retrieval, juicing, Rife machines, dowsing, ho'oponopono, Chinese medicine, Reiki, the Edgar Cayce protocol, and more. After years of researching and becoming a self-described guinea pig by experimenting with these disciplines and treatments, she decided to share her journey, one that addressed all the possible causes of psoriasis by looking at our human components: physical, mental, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. Jennifer's transcendence and ultimate victory over psoriasis will not only enlighten readers about how to begin their own search for a cure, but will uplift and inspire them along the way. Endorsed by Jack Canfield, Joe Cross, and many other authors, Psoriasis—A Love Story, is a life manual not only for the 7 million psoriasis sufferers in America, but for anyone looking for a way to go beneath the layers to soul healing as well.
Here is a interview on July 27, 2014 on Good Day, Sacramento, channel 31, featuring her book, Psoriasis-A Love Story and highlighting how juicing helped her heal from psoriasis.
