Facets of Life, Inc. was introduced to the world in 1991, as the name of her Dallas-based business through which she sold customized poetry baskets and personalized gifts. Her work as a business woman and entrepreneur have been featured in magazines, radio and television highlights. She has received letters of recognition from a diverse group of dignitaries—including Nikki Giovanni, former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and former President George Bush, Sr., to name a few. As an author, Carolyn feels blessed to have penned: Thinking Positive in a Negative World and Clay In The Potter’s Hand; and co-authored: Conversations of Courage “Stories of Success, Hope & Possibility.” She is a premier writer for Zoe Life ~ A Daily Devotional book series. Her real-life compilations have been featured yearly since its inaugural release in 2012—with the 2015 edition hitting the market in late November, 2014. Carolyn is equally excited about the release of her 2016 book entitled: Sugar, Spice & Everything Christ “Understanding the Wealth of a Woman’s Worth.”Currently, she is adding the final touches to a documentary that she’s writing and directing entitled: Living in Liberia, and preparing to travel to West Africa with missionaries of New Life Church. While in Atlanta, she is busy operating her daily labor of love: H. O. M. E. (Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure). Carolyn established this organization to aid single mothers in rebuilding their lives after divorce, domestic violence and experiences of hardship—by providing new and gently used furniture as means of starting over; starting anew. ? ? One of Carolyn’s strongest beliefs is: “No matter life’s circumstance … there’s a reason for that.” ? ?
European-born (Poland) spent some of childhood in Europe. Grew up in Chicago, later moved to Wisconsin, 13 years in Boston, moved to Seattle 3 years ago to continue graduate education Professional life: scientist/materials engineer working in nanotechnology R&D group in Seattle Business: too many hobbies. I live to make/create things. Interests developed in early childhood in my dad’s (engineer/carpenter) workshop. Soap love came from grandmother’s/mom’s love of all that’s simple and all that’s natural. Best soap recipes I have are from my grandma Greatest passions: woodworking, sewing, soap making, knitting How did the business started: search for perfect soap making aids. I didn’t own a house previously and I had no room for workshop setup. Since its purchase I have been remodeling it building furniture for it and working on other projects. I also had a space for a soap room. From there I came to realize that I needed molds easy to work with and ones in which I could create prettiest designs possible. My molds received such great feedback from fellow soapers that I decided to share them with others. When I became a vendor for Bramble Berry I realized that I have created something unique. It’s only beginning but we’ll see

I'm headed to Las Vegas to speak at a private leadership retreat this weekend--woo hoo!!--and the title of my talk and workshop is "Own Your Path." I thought I'd give you a little preview of what I'll be sharing with the high-achieving women I'll be working with this weekend. What does it mean to truly own your path? Why might the results be different if we own our path versus simply following a path someone else lays out for us? I'll tell you all about it on today's episode.

This week on Scottscope Talk Radio, we’ll be diving headlong into Marvel’s upcoming Secret Wars Event! Will this be the end of the Marvel Universe as we know it? Will this reboot create greater fidelity between the Marvel Comics Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Does it bear comparison to DC comics Crisis on Infinite Earths? Is this merely a calculated move to boost sales? Have reboots become something of a safety net for both Marvel and DC? What good, if any, could possibly come from this?
We’ll also be talking about the historical epic Selma. Was it snubbed at the Oscar nominations? If so, why was it snubbed? Does the answer boil simply boil down to good old fashioned racism, or is there something else afoot? Is Spike Lee right about the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences? Should Black Americans simply dismiss and disregard the Oscars? Are the Oscars even still relevant? What does this mean for future Black biopics and historical dramas looking to get recognition from the Academy?
We’ll also be discussing the ongoing controversy with Clint Eastwood’s latest, American Sniper! Is Chris Kyle a true American hero, or a raging sociopath that is now being deified by Hollywood? Can the film be dismissed as merely jingoistic right-wing propaganda? How accurate is the film in its portrayal of Chris Kyle? Why has the Motion Picture Academy, which is largely seen as a liberal institution, nominated it for multiple Oscars? Should historical accuracy be a prerequisite for biopics?

It's rare to see twin flames union in the physical realm. We are blessed to have one on our show today!
Twin flames, also called twin souls, are literally the other half of our soul. We each have only one twin, and generally after being split the two went their separate ways, incarnating over and over to gather human experience before coming back together. Ideally, this happens in both of their last lifetimes on the planet so they can ascend together. So you probably haven't had many lifetimes with your twin.
The Stages of Twin Flame Relationships (Jenna Forrest)
1.Recognition and Temporary Spiritual Awakening
The key to getting to the final Harmonizing stage with the least amount of suffering is to bypass one’s own Testing, Crisis, and Runner stages. This can be done by staying surrendered to God throughout.
Are the dangerous things that women do in relationships taboo to talk about? It feels like you often can’t be critical of women about anything! I feel like, we as society grossly under estimate the lack of emotional control women often exhibit and the respective dangers often associated their lack of emotional control! I was told by women that 'men are just as emotionally dangerous!'
But is that really the case?!? Seems like we have a pretty good recognition of the dangers that men pose in relationships across the board, but some of these more critical notions about women are more so a new conversation or focal point. And it is often received and translated as “Woman Bashing”! But men feel it is more so “Woman Criticizing” which is the only way to recognize that we have challenges and we need to work on them...

Her "Steps to Recovery" daily tools are on the homepage of the website, butterflydreamsabuserecovery.com. Anyone can use them at any given time to help rebuild from almost any type of trauma.
