Christine McDonald is an internationally recognized author and speaker on the social injustices facing underserved populations today. As a survivor of human trafficking, homelessness, and addiction, Christine- now blind as a result of a disease that forced her to choose between her unborn child and her eyesight- is on a mission to bring justice and awareness to the forefront of social change through education and unconditional love.
Christine began life in a small town in Oklahoma, in a very dark and painful household. She felt safest using her own survival skills to live on the streets and ran away for the last time when she was just 15. This began her 17 year journey of homelessness, which comprised of being sex trafficked, drug addiction, prostitution, 103 arrests and 7 prison stints. Finally ready for a better life and barely able to read or write, Christine began a new journey of exiting the life of the streets, only to be challenged again.
Completely blind and eternally vigilant, today Christine uses her life experience and education to work as an advocate for trafficking victims, the homeless, recovering addicts, ex-offenders and disabled populations. Currently living in St Louis, Missouri, Christine is a proud mom of her 7 year old son and practices a loving open adoption with her daughter’s adoptive parents in nearby Kirkwood. Christine is the author of Cry Purple: One Woman’s Journey through Homelessness, Crack Addiction and Prison to Blindness, Motherhood and Happiness and is the founder of www.ChristinesVision.org. She has also been featured locally and nationally on various media outlets, including NBC, CBS, FOX and NPR and sits on multiple local, state-wide and international level boards and committees.

This was from todays Radio Broadcast on WWPR AM 1490 in Bradenton, FL 02 24 15. In this show we discuss VISIN 8 VA Sunshine Health Care Network visn8.va.gov. I discuss the great time I had at HSN The Home Shopping Channel on Monday 2/23/15 . I have two audio clips from VA Secretay Robert A. McDonald. One is where he gets in a argument with a Republican Congressman Mike Coffman. The second piece with VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald is the latest AP Story. I play a few songs and still remind you that Disabled Veterans were misdiagnosed with a personality disorder. This made thousands of Disabled Veterans miss out on VA Benefits for years. When the correct diagnoses should have been PTSD like my VA Psychatrist told me but is afraid to speak up because she will be fired by the VA. I am also requesting if you can help keep Disabled Veteran Radio on The Air log into http://billapgar.com

1982 was a transition year for music. Sure, my friends and I still had all the Hall and Oates, Toto and Journey we could ever ever dream of hearing on the radio. But for kids in the pop cultural hinterlands of Utah where I lived, there was a new player on the scene. Her name was MTV and she was newly available on basic cable.
Why was MTV a she? She had to be. How else could you explain the David Bowie, Duran Duran, Cultural Club and Adam Ant videos she would soon unleash on our impressionable minds? No self-respecting Molly Hatchett or Van Halen fan wanted to watch that stuff.
Besides introducing us to new romantic bands from England, MTV was our gateway drug to bizarrely new and unexpected sounds like Toni Basil’s cheerleader- driven “Mickey” and today’s novelty song, “Pass the Dutchie” by Musical Youth. What was this song? Youth meets reggae on the shores of the Thames River? Whose brilliant idea was this?“Pass the Dutchie’ on the left-hand side’”
“How does it feel when you’ve got no food.”Who writes this stuff?
The deeper hidden meaning was debated daily by a small group of friends who were convinced we could unlock some deeper insight into reggae music or British pop music or black kids who wore berets and played oversized instruments and passed dutchies to their left but never to the right.
The riddle would all be revealed if we simply watched more MTV. So we did.Eventually “Pass the Dutchie” reached #10 on the Billboard Top 40 in 1982, making Musical Youth a one-hit wonder and leaving a pop-cultural mark that persists today.www.crsradio.com email@example.com
In tonights one hour episode we find out that The Veterans Administartion , VISIN and even Robert A. McDonald The VA Secretary favorite word which is "I don't know". I talk about anger. The struggles that I battle everyday because of MONEY owed to me by The Veterans Administration for a misdiagnoses of a personality disorder which should have been PTSD on the date of discharge which my VA Psychatrist states to me but is afraid to say it so it would benefit me because she may be fired.. Also I still pose the question. Does anyone really care about Disabled Veterans Issues ?
Today I visited VISIN in Clearwater, FL. This is where you can go to report a problem that you may have with the Directors of Various VA Facilities or Patient Advocacy People. You would think that VISIN Offices would be on VA property. They are located in a Tall Fancy Richy Hi Rise called The Franklin Templton Building located on the 6th Floor. This is some seriously large square footage the Veterans Administration Pays Monthly Rent on but wait here is the kicker. If your a Disabled Veteran unsatisified with the VA and want to see an outside Dentist, MD, the VA will not pay for that. Yes that's right the VA pays it higher ups to work in Lavish Up Town Fancy Building they ponthly Rent on . There is some strong language in the 10 minute piece from VISIN in this one hour segment. Dear LORD help be informative, help be humble, help me with life, help me with firends, help me with family and most important of all help me help get DIsabled Veterans Fully Compensated.
