In this episode of The Fantasy Freeway, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, sponsored by Cover That Spread, JA and Troy Otradovec will scroll through all of the postions, and find the best line up for your daily fantasy league. With the year long leagues done, the attention is now turned to daily leagues, such as Draft Kings and Fan Duel. If you want to get involved, click on the Draft Kings logo, on theredlightsportsnetwork.com.
Every Sunday, the RLSN staff will submit a line up, to Draft Kings, and the proceeds will go directly to the Million Dollar Ramble. In the NFL, there are many important games. Therfore, it will be important to find the players that are going to put up the most points. While working with a $50,000 salary cap, you will need to figure out the best way to set your line up. Are you going to go with a high priced quarterback? With the risk vs. reward, you might be better served to find value, with a mid range quarterback. The running back position has fizzled, just a bit, down the stretch. Can you decide which of the running backs will put up 30 points, this week. Wide Receivers are a deep position, from top to bottom. How important do you think the Tight End and Defensive positions are, in a daily league?
Listen in and call the show, with your thoughts and help JA and Troy Otradovec build a daily fantasy league roster, for Draft Kings.
North Florida’s Mixed-blood Indian People, Rediscovery of a Forgotten People
In the early 1800s, dozens of Siouan-speaking Cheraw families, including Catawbas and Lumbees, fled war and oppression in the Carolinas and migrated to Florida; just as native Appalachicola Creeks were migrating away. Being neither Black nor White, the Cheraw descendants were persecuted by the harsh “racial” dichotomy of the Jim Crow era and almost forgot their proud heritage. Today they have rediscovered their past. This is their story.
Creek Eastern Siouan Cheraw Indians, generally located in the panhandle of Florida. Related groups (Porch Creek, Redbones, Brass Ankles, etc) in which we can establish a surname connection locally or by association later (Mt Tabor Community).
The Apalachicola River Indian Community Conference is a non-profit community-based tribal organization that works for the political, social, legal, and spiritual welfare of the Creek/Eastern Siouan Cheraw Indian people in the panhandle of north Florida. Its focus is to foster tribal cultural identity and unity, documentary historical research into our origins and history, and provide venues for communication, awareness, and growth. We are the descendants of the Indian people who lived in the 3 settlements whose history is documented in the “Our History” part of this website. These are surnames in our community:

In this episode of The Terrible Towel Tantrum, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Rudy Reyes and Troy Otradovec are talking abotu the Pittsburgh Steelers return to the postseason. They defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 20-12. The score looks much closer than the actual game. It was a close game, but the Steelers defense finally came up big, this year. At the end of the second quarter, it was only 10-6, and looked like it would come down to which defense could make a play. Two of the leagues best running backs, were on the field. Jamaal Charles and LeVeon Bell have literally been carrying their teams, to winning records. The Steelers held Charles to 29 yards, and the Chiefs held Bell to 63. However, Bell found the end zone, which proved to be critical.
The biggest difference in this game was red zone effeciency. Something that has been talked about, in weeks past. The Steelers were two of four, in the red zone, and cashed in both times, they were in a goal to go situation. The Chiefs were an atrocious 0-4, in the red zone, and even worse 0-2, in goal to go.
With the win, the Pittsburgh Steelers will now face the Cincinnati Bengals, for the AFC North Division Title. Both teams have clinched a playoff berth, but one of them will be hosting a playoff game, after Sunday. The other will be on the road. Listen in and call the show.
It's very important to know your history. However with all these different concepts or stories, how can we trust anything about our history or culture? How many of you have paid for a DNA Test? How many people have paid Ancestry.com to look up family? What did this type of research actually help you with? Should it matter what we are mixed with? Do you know what it means to be mixed raced? We are going to break it all down and expose what these test are really doing.
In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will talk about all of the NFL games, from week 16. This weekend saw all but one playoff spot, be clinched. The San Diego Chargers currently hold the sixth, and final spot, in the AFC. The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Houston Texans, opening the door for the Chargers. The New England Patriots have clinched home field advantage, after the Denver Broncos lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, on Monday Night. The North divisions, in both leagues, will be decided, on Sunday. The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cincinnatil Bengals, and the Green Bay Packers host the Detroit Lions. The other division title, on the line, is the wooful NFC South. Either the Carolina Panthers, or Atlanta Falcons, will host a playoff game, with a losing record.
Although playoff spots have been clinched, the seeding is still wide open. The Bengals still have the opportunity to receive a first round bye, if they beat the Steelers, and the Broncos lose, to the Raiders. With some help, the Packers could clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs, with a win and Seattle Seahawks loss, to the St. Louis Rams. Week 17 has some meaningful games, and home field advantage, is on the line. Listen in and call the show, with your thoughts on who is playing well?
