Are you one of those women or do you know a woman that feels that having a piece of man is better than having no man at all? There is an attachment demon that has latched himself on to many women and has them thinking that they cannot make it without a man. So they go by the old cliche that, "it is better to have a piece of man than no man at all." Now many women would beg to differ and side with the quality part of having a nice, stable, relationship. We want you to chime in Jan 26 9AM EST and share your views.
Him Before Them: Putting a Man Before the Children?
What if your man came to you with a request to purchase something for him, but your kids also had a request for a toy, game or a necessity? Whose wants or needs would be met first? How far would you go to please the man or woman in your life? Would you go as far to put their needs or wants before the needs and wants of your children?
These and many other questions surrounding the issue of putting your mate before your children will be addressed on this episode of Hot Topics Talk Radio.

Join host Dave Etter and assorted callers as we try and define what makes a good military spouse! Us guts do not have much in print on how to be that perfect partner while maintaining the standards set by the military branch we are forced to live with - so, what can we gleen from each other? This could get interesting, heated, nasty, sad, frustrating, fun.... who knows? You'll just have to listen and call in if it's during the live recording time!
MMSRS is a weekly 2-hour web-based call-in radio show (516-453-9167), hosted by Dave Etter, focusing on the needs of men married to serving military members, both men and women. Male Military Spouses are a small niche of military spouses, comprising of only 7%-8% of all military spouses. We feel left out, usually, at support functions - especially those designed with the spouses being identified as "wives"! We get cajoled at playgrounds where our kids play, from the mommies there who think we don't belong. We are proud SAHDs, who gave up our careers to follow our spouses as they dedicate thier lives to defend our country! Here, on this show, we come together and share beer recipes, diaper changing techniques, financial discoveries - manly things, for men! Typically airs Fridays at 9am CT, rated R for the cussing that can occur, and always available for download (podcast) immediately following each show.

We are what we eat! How many times have we heard that? But do we really believe it? Will that delicious pound cake become part of your hips? Will that sirloin steak become part of your feet? We are on a crash course with our health in the US and so much of what ails us can be averted by making healthier food choices. Children and teens are experiencing the effects of this crash course in much the same way as adults. Dr. Imani Ma'at, the segment's regular host and Author of Healthy Haiku 3: How to Fight Childhood Obesity One Poem at a Time, will be interviewed by Guest Host Ms. Martha Dowdell.
Ms. Martha Dowdell is a health and nutrition enthusiast with more than 40 years experience in research, experimentation, and lifestyle strategy techniques that lead to achieving optimum health. Her passions are etiquette training, health and nutrition education and motivation so that people will be inspired to make healthy lifestyle choices.
The segment will focus on the growing health epidemic in our communities. Dr. Ma'at will also discuss her new book: Healthy Haiku 3: How to Fight Childhood Obesity One Poem at a Time. This book is packed with important topics about childhood and teen obesity such as: obesity as a precursor to diabetes, high blood pressure, compromised immune system, depession, and social isolation; the importance of alkalizine foods and water in our diet and the importance of enzymes. There is also a great appendix section with information such as a handy chart of akaline foods, icebreakers, role play activties and more! On sale this week only on Amazon Kindle for only $1.99!
Brother Mac will be back on hand to discuss fatherhood from his experience and his perspective.
How do you keep a good relationship when there are so many kids by different mothers?
Why do so many Black people feel that not having a father figure is okay?
There's more, more and much more!
What does it mean to you to fight to the finish or end well? What does that look like close up. 2 Tim 4:7 seems to provide a few answers to these questions. It says "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith". Can you say that today, that you have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith? Well I to like you have to ask myself this all important question and must ask frequently so as to determine where I stand in Christ, am I slowing down in my zeal for Christ? How is my excitement and desire for God's Holy word? Am I telling others about my personal testimony and how I have come to know the Lord today? Am I on my knees daily fighting battles, confessing sin and while still marching forward for the cause of Christ? With so much at stake in the battle between good and evil, flesh vs. spirit we want to be able to say we didnt buckle to the pressure, that we were fully committed and went the distance in faith with our marriages, our children, those family members outside of Christ, our integrity, purity and through pain, temptation, and of course all those times you felt like throwing in the towel, but you didnt. You yourself can echo the same words of the apostle Paul in 2 Tim 4:7. Lord help us all to endure and finish our race well.
