It's A MInd Thing! Whose Voice Is The Strongest Voice You Hear?

    in Religion

The Meek will hear! How will the meek inherit the earth? Generally, the meek are thought as the weak. God told me the first time, 12 years ago, when I was starting my camp, “When you can release fear...you can hear.” When you hear the voice of God,  choose to follow his directions. Your actions have guaranteed results. Meekness is controlled strength. Meekness is humbling your spirit to hear God’s spirit. Nothing is so strong as meekness under the mighty hand of God. It takes meekness to be humble and discipline ones thought, emotions, and actions. This kind of strength develops one’s character. When you have acquired faith you become strong in the Lord. Your faith and trust in God allows your meek spirit to become powerful in Him. God will empower you to become stronger and stronger in Him. When Gideon was hiding in the wine press, sheathing wheat, he heard an angel say, “Thou mighty man of valor.” This was a humbling statement to him, because he knew that he was the weakest, the poorest, and was the least, in his family. When Gideon willingly gave his thoughts away, disciplined his will to be still and receive God’s will for him, he became strong in the Lord in the power of His might. This angel told him that he would defeat the Midianites as one man (Judges 6-7). God only asked us to be strong in Him, not in ourselves (Ephesians 6:10). Are we willing to believe what God says about us? Are we willing to do what God asked us to do? As you quiet your spirit and hear the voice of the Lord, follow His directions. The same spirit that is in you, is in Christ Jesus and will enable you conquer and inherit the world.  Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6). Can You Follow Direction?

Judges 6 Living Bible (TLB) (Roughly 1191 BC)
6 Then the people of Israel began once again to worship other gods, and once again the Lord let their enemies harass them. This time it was by the people of Midian, for seven years. 2 The Midianites were so cruel that the Israelis took to the mountains, living in caves and dens.
3-4 When they planted their seed, marauders from Midian, Amalek, and other neighboring nations came and destroyed their crops and plundered the countryside as far away as Gaza, leaving nothing to eat and taking away all their sheep, oxen, and donkeys. 5 These enemy hordes arrived on droves of camels too numerous to count and stayed until the land was completely stripped and devastated. 6-7 So Israel was reduced to abject poverty because of the Midianites. Then at last the people of Israel began to cry out to the Lord for help.
8 However, the Lord’s reply through the prophet he sent to them was this: “The Lord God of Israel brought you out of slavery in Egypt, 9 and rescued you from the Egyptians and from all who were cruel to you, and drove out your enemies before you, and gave you their land. 10 He told you he is the Lord your God, and you must not worship the gods of the Amorites who live around you on every side. But you have not listened to him.”

They Already Know You Have Victory!...Pastor Dawn Mixon..Long Island New York

    in The Bible

    Jg 7:11
And you shall hear what they say; and afterward shall your hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host.

Jg 7:12 And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.

    Jg 7:13
And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and struck it so that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay flat.

    Jg 7:14
And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else except the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand has God delivered Midian, and all the host.

    Jg 7:15
And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshiped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD has delivered into your hand the host of Midian.

    Jg 7:16
¶ And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.

    Jg 7:17
And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall you do.

    Jg 7:18
When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow you the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

Breaking Chains and Bondages for Spiritual Freedom

    in Christianity

One of the goals our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has for us in this life is to be free.  To be free from every chain and bondage that would hinder the work that He wants to do in our life. In order for that to happen we have to renew our minds.  This is one of the major themes we began the year with.  The Lord said He was anointed to set the captives free, to set at liberty those who are bound. His promice to us, if we will submit to the Spirit of God, is a Christian life where we are free to serve Him with joy, come what may.  Our God has appointed a day for your deliverance!  Regardless of what you are going through the God of the universe has you in mind!  He defeated all our foes at Calvary, so no devil can prevent you from receiving your deliverance.

Please join us so we can study God's word together to renew our minds, receive our deliverance, and be conformed more into the image of Christ!
