Being our best requires the ability to maximize the power of the mind. most of us have never learned how to do this. For this purpose I have created the MENTAL DASHBOARD. This dashboard provides direction and clarity so you can tap into the power of your mind. There tends to be a fair amount of confusion surrounding the efficient functioning of the mind. For this reason I have created the ATHLETES MENTAL DASHBOARD. This DashBoard keeps optimal mental functioning front and center allowing the athlete to utilize their brain as a weapon as opposed to a weight.

Dr. Gary Blau, Chief of the Child, Adolescent and Family Branch of the Center for Mental Health Services, joined Dr. Greene this month to discuss his work in the field of mental health. Among other issues, Dr. Blau discusses the alarmingly high rate of children in need of mental health services and the much lower rate of care available. He recommends not only expanding the number of health care providers, but also expanding the thinking of who could be helpful in treating these issues. Along these lines, he introduces the idea of mental health first-aid as a critical first step in providing appropriate services to children with mental health needs. In addition, Dr. Blau discusses the importance of a strength-based treatment model and the feasibility of family-driven, youth-guided service provision.

With mental illness affecting roughly 1 in 17 Americans, this 8-week series targets the way our nation and its churches confront the conversation surrounding mental illness and is designed to clarify broad misperceptions and shed a new light on the topic - Biblically and psychologically. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that one in four adults, approximately 57.7 million Americans experience a mental health disorder in a given year.
The series includes professionals who discuss such topics as the six stages of grief, chemical imbalances, the effects of mental health disorders on a child's education, and suicide. Additional discussions include pastors, leadership and members within the church who suffer from mental illness. The workshop is hosted by Pastor Seneca who leads the discussion utilizing Biblical references of mental illness. Reference John 9.
The workshop series also includes featured guests, psychiatric doctors, therapists, couples, teachers and families that have encountered and live within mental illness circumstances.
