Meghan McGill is the niece of Chris Derose who is the founder of Last Chance for Animals. Last Chance for Animals began in 1984 now it has been 30 years since they have been fighting for animals.
A fixture in animal rights movement for over a decade, Meghan McGill has played an integral role at Last Change for Animals (LCA) for the past eight years. As a longtime vegan and animal-welfare advocate, Meghan serves as LCA’s campaigns manager and works to educate the public on issues of animal cruelty and abuse.
Meghan has been instrumental in leading some of the largest protests in the country against circuses, the fur industry and Puppy mills. She oversaw the ban of fur in West Hollywood and the closing of multiple high-end pet stores in Los Angeles area. Meghan regularly participles in speaking engagements and outreach events with children and schools, and is committed to demonstrating compassion for all beings that need a voice in our world.
Founded in 1984 by Hollywood actor Chris DeRose, Last Chance For Animals (LCA) has its roots in fighting and exposing the inherent cruelty of vivisection. In the organization's early years, DeRose led teams of dedicated activists employing non-violent strategies modeled after social movements led by such leaders as Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr.
Using "Direct Action," LCA activists engaged in peaceful protest with determined resolve... to make sure their voices would be heard. When direct action was still a new concept in the American animal rights movement, every well-planned demonstration achieved tremendous media coverage. By the late 1980s, LCA was earning a national reputation for its no-nonsense approach to exposing animal cruelty.

Many of the most popular wrestlers have many things in common. One of the things that set some above the rest is submission skill. Wrestlers like Bret Hart, Ric Flair and Kurt Angle are already great wrestlers without a submission hold. With that trusty submission they become even more dangerous. Join us on how we discuss the greatest submission holds of all time. Who do we think is the best and worst submission wrestler? Tune in and find out. Send us your thoughts or call in. Also we will go into the controversy of the Swagger/Rusev fued and talk about CM Punk for what may be the last time.
MARTY MANN AND THE EARLY WOMEN OF AA
A tremendous change has taken place over the past few generations in the way alcoholics are viewed in our society. Although it is undeniable that some level of unawareness and misunderstanding remains, substantial improvements have been effected since the 1930s. We have cause to be grateful.
The once virtually universal stigma that besieged alcoholic men was exponentially greater for women. “Nice women” didn’t drink to excess. This made it extremely difficult to admit to a drinking problem in the first place. As our pioneers battled not only for their own sobriety, but for some level of “respectability,” their reluctance to associate themselves with “beggars, tramps, asylum inmates, prisoners, queers (sic), plain crackpots, and fallen women,” (12 & 12, p. 140), can be looked on with some degree of sympathy.

Keith is best known for his critically acclaimed role as “C.C. White” in the Academy Award winning feature film, Dreamgirls. In which he was directed by Bill Condon, and starred alongside Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Anika Noni Rose. In the musical, Robinson’s big solo, “Patience,” which he also performed live at the Academy Awards, earned him an Oscar nomination.
On the acting side, Robinson followed Dreamgirls with This Christmas, co-starring Chris Brown, Idris Elba, Loretta Devine and Delroy Lindo. He then went on to star in Dear John opposite Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. Roles in 35 and Ticking, starring alongside Kevin Hart, and Hopelessly in June soon followed. Next, Robinson began shooting Dysfunctional Friends.
Like many, he’s taken a behind-the-scenes approach to creating music. Robinson founded his own scoring company, Theme Song. Since its establishment, Theme Song has scored music for movies like Blade 3, Fat Albert, and 35 and Ticking, in which he also starred. Most recently, the budding company scored Divorce Invitation (2012) also starring Robinson alongside Jonathan Bennett, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Nadia Bjorlin.
Keith’s upcoming releases include CRU, an emotionally intense film in which he stars alongside Harry Lennix, Richard T. Jones, and Alison Eastwood. Four Seasons, a romantic comedy starring with Robin Givens and Christian Keyes, and most recently, Universal’s James Brown biopic Get On Up, with Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Dan Aykroyd. In conjunction with the release of Get On Up, Keith will also be releasing his new album, Love Episodic, both due in 2014.
We will be talking sports and having fun doing it. Expected to be joined by one of the the stars of "Think like a Man Too" Gary Owen, who will discuss the movie and more. Also, Memphis Grizzlies G Vince Carter will join us to discuss his signing with the Grizzlies and more. Talking all things NFL training camps, MLB, NBA and so much more.
