Because your friends in podcasting, Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness, knew they would be in Dragon*Con where business (and partying!) might prevent them from bringing you a show today, they pre-recorded a very special show with a very special guest.
Marc Hershon is a movie writer, an author, a contributor to the Huffington Post, a cartoonist, and host of Succotash, the Comedy Podcast Podcast (think the “Talk Soup” of comedy podcasts).
You’ve heard about Marc on YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour because he’s both the man who reviewed The Truth Is Out There in The Huffington Post AND the man who coined the phrase “Podcast Royalty” to describe Dean and Phil.
Trust us, this episode is HILARIOUS.

Our guest this Morning is Marc Lewis, Ph. D., author of The Biology of Desire: Why Addiction Is Not a Disease. This amazing book is chock full of the latest neuroscience, telling not only how brains get addicted to drugs but also how they recover and heal, showing that neuroplasticity is a two-edged sword. A great antidote to the drug war propaganda put forth by NIDA.

Why should you care about Marc MacYoung?
He grew up in LA among (and has spend 40+ years dealing with) people who don't hesitate to use violence to get what they want, on a whim.
He has studied multiple styles of martial arts singe age 10, and has broken down and reworked the most street-effective elements into a system he and his equally-badass wife Dianna ("There's a reason the toilet seat is put down in our house," Marc says) teach, called Dango Jiro ("Mulligan Stew").
He was first shot at when he was 15, and since survived more than one attempt on his life - including professional contracts - some work-related, some personal.
He's worked as the director of a correctional institute, a bodyguard, a bouncer, and worked security at multiple-day events with tens of thousands of people in attendance.
He is considered a leading expert on surviving high-risk situations, and has written multiple books on the subject, used by academies, schools, police departments, and military academies world-wide.
As an authority on how violence happens, he is often called upon as a professional, expert witness in both criminal and civil cases.
So... we're not 100% sure we want him to have our home address.
But we ARE 500% certain we'll have a great chat with the guy, and it seems likely we can get a few good, bloody stories out of him - we get the feeling he's at least as funny as he is knowledgable and skilled.
Whether you're Joe Average or Black Belt Jones, join us for more than you ever wanted to know about the harsh realities of street violence with Marc "Animal" MacYoung!

He is an internationally renowned seminar leader, entrepreneur, author, and composer. Good evening and welcome to The Coffee Club with Felix and Dr. Marc. Today, aside from discussing the news of the world, we will be discussing the meaning of the Supreme Court decision granting same-sex couples the right to marry in all 50 states. The Supreme Court is simply echoing the views of more then 50% of the American people. In fact, a few years from now, the sight of same-sex couples holding hands in public will not even "raise an eyebrow," just like the number of interracial couples today. We will all go into the news and politics of the last week or so which did raise the eye brows of many people. Call us with your comments at 646-595-3275 Don't for get your coffee, hot or cold.

We'll let you know if Ted 2 is worth your time, and/or if it manages to be funny at all. Does it live up to the first one, and does that mean anything anyway?
