THE AGE OLD CONTROVERSY.....IS IT EXERCISE OR DIET THAT WORKS BEST?? MEDICINE CHIMES IN WITH WHAT THEY SAY IS A "MYTH"...WE WILL BRING THE TRUTH
Who hasn't had that time when you've been working out for weeks-and you can't breakthrough that wall!! That stinks!!! Tonight I will show you EXACTLY what to do to get through those nasty ruts and sticking points. Plus-we will diagnose some possible overtraining symptoms!!
“Thou shall not murder!” That seems like a good idea, and yet… As much as we resist eXPeRiencing it, we may recognize the basic truth that life is violence: do not thousands of children die every day? Doesn’t getting old suck? And whether we are on a vegan diet or not, do not teeth chew, grind and crush? Yet the real question is: how do we feel and thus stop the abuse that we inflict on ourselves and others; the undue violence of responding to bullying by being ourselves a thug? Whereas many of us would agree that meditation is a great tool to begin answering the question, we will eventually wonder on how to extend our morning and evening practices to a meditative life, where our speech and actions are 24/7 pure, that is, undivided! That would infer handling for good the need of the ego to dominate the other/the world. It will require to a total paradigm shift! On that note, perennial teachings, as mapped out by both the Hindu and the Hebrew Tree of Life, speak of the presence of parallel worlds: it is not so hard to imagine, especially as quantum mechanics has now proven and explained at length how the atom – a.k.a. the “Adam” (J) – jumps from one plane of awareness into another, simply by absorbing or giving energy…Therefore, the more I for-give the bullying that I was submitted to, the more elegantly I can jump into a parallel reality, and “receive” a nobler version of me. Internationally recognized nutritional health coach and food blogger Pam Bilfeld talks with us about how you can raise your energy level, improve your overall health and lose those extra pounds without feeling deprived. All you need to do is remove this one food from your diet. You don’t want to miss this amazing episode!
Could this be the recipe for deflating the muffin top? A recent study compared three groups—those who ate a reduced-carbohydrate diet, those who combined the diet with strength training and those who combined the diet and strength-training with cardio workouts—and found that a three-tier approach was the most effective strategy to decrease abdominal fat. It's important to note that the exercises you choose and the effort you put into them really matter, says Marta Montenegro, a certified strength and conditioning coach who teaches exercise physiology at Florida International University. Instead of ho-hum treadmill-trotting and sit-ups, she recommends high-intensity workouts, which have been shown to be more effective at reducing the belly fat you can pinch with your hand, as well as the visceral fat that pads internal organs (which has been linked to metabolic disturbances and increased risk for cardiovascular disease and type-2 diabetes).
Montenegro put together this hard-core high-intensity workout based on the latest research, her work with clients and her own experience (that's her in the photos; those abs don't lie).
