THE EGO-MIND: Slave Master, Thief and Murderer. ACIM with Robert Rosenthal, M.D.

    in Spirituality

The ego. Yes, you have one. We all do. It’s the ‘operating system’ we use to navigate life and the world around us. It’s what we think we are: our “self.” It is also the biggest obstacle to remembering our true self and God. In fact, it’s the ONLY obstacle.

Come join us to learn more about the ego and its ways: what it is, how it works and how it manages to keep us so blind and enslaved to its agenda.

Preparation: From Plagues To Miracles Chapter 1, pp. 7-11 and Chapter 2.

The Two Selves: A Course in Miracles with Robert Rosenthal, M.D.

    in Spirituality

Every human being consists of two different selves with diametrically opposed world views and goals. One we know well: our familiar, day-to-day self; identified with a body, a personality and a life story; intent on survival, pleasure, and avoidance of pain. This is the ego-self. The other we know less well—to our detriment. It is our true Self, the Self we all share as Spirit, the one that God created in God’s Image: eternal, complete and perfectly loving.

Join us as we explore the nature of these two selves using the teachings of A Course in Miracles and the parable of Moses and Pharaoh described in From Plagues to Miracles.

    Preparation:

ACIM: Workbook Lessons 95 and 110, Workbook Part II, Section 6 (“What is the Christ?”) and Clarification of Terms: Sections 2 and 6. From Plagues to Miracles: Chapters 1-3 (and beyond)
