SORT BY Relevancy
Fr. Frank Pavone says the Senate election results are a call for Congress to counter President Obama’s pro-abortion agenda, especially late term abortions.
Talking all things faith, including faith-based current events (and sometimes even that dreaded political overlap, YIKES!)
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

Award-winning Model and actress
One of the most beautiful and talented actresses in the world, Tracey Birdsall (FAMILY TIES, DAWN OF THE CRESCENT MOON, LOVING) is doing press this month.
Birdsall, known for both her modeling work and for playing Amy Sanders on the classic soap LOVING, has become a major force in independent film. She walked away with the Maverick award in 2014 for her performance in the new thriller DAWN OF THE CRESCENT MOON.
A model during her Malibu teen years, Birdsall was one of only 10 finalists nationwide to make it into the prestigious Wilhelmina “40+” modeling/runaway competition in recent times. “I grew up modeling and doing print work,” Birdsall-Smith said. “Then you hit your mid-to-late twenties and you think your career is over.”
As a teen, she won the Miss Teeny Bikini title and appeared in commercials for Sunkist and Coors Light, while performing in plays in the meantime.
Birdsall is available to talk about her long career in front of the camera – making the transition from modeling to acting, working on classics like Family Ties with Michael J.Fox, and some of her new films, including Dawn of the Crescent Moon, the family comedy The Grounded, and the upcoming science-fiction film Death Machine, in which she voices the role of a HAL-like computer.

This week, Chef Elliott has the distinct honor of highlighting the culinary and sweet genius of the ”Award-Winning Pastry Chef To The Stars," THE "Suga Chef," Pastry Chef Padua Player! Chef Padua grew up cooking with his mom in the District of Columbia. One of the first dishes Chef Padua created was a recipe taken from the kids section in a local DC newspaper. Any opportunity that arose for the budding pastry chef to help his mom in creating a family dish, he was front and center to soak in her culinary teachings. This contributed to his creative juices and he began to fashion up his own recipes for tasty quick bread mixes and assorted fruit cobblers. Chef Padua honed his skills and worked his way up the foodie ranks to plating desserts, which lead to him assisting the pastry chef two days a week. He moved on to his first baking stint and credits Pastry Chef, Susan McCreight Lindeborg as his mentor, picking up from where his mother had laid the culinary groundwork.
Chef Padua attended Baltimore International College, worked in the bakery at Marriott in Georgetown University and went on to work at some of DC’s top catering houses and restaurants such as DC Coast, Café Milano, Notte Luna and Ceiba. He was reviewed by the famed DC food critic Phyllis Richman, who gave him, thumbs up on his desserts and received an official letter from Vice President Biden.
Chef Padua has appeared on the television show, Platinum Weddings, has been a contestant on Food Network’s Sweet Genius and also provided his pastry services for the late Chuck Brown, singer Macy Gray, comedian Bill Bellamy, actress Pam Grier, comedian Damon Wayans, and singer Crystal Waters.

Operation: Next Chapter is “working with Soldier’s Angeles Project: Valour-IT to provided 100 voice-controlled, adaptive lap-top computers for military personnel who have lost the use of their hands. Vietnam Veteran and author Cym Lowell will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of his latest novel, Jasper’s War, to purchase these individually adapted computers which cost $500 a piece. The laptops allow warriors who are healing from amputations, paralysis, eye injuries, burns and brain trauma to stay in touch with their family and their units during their recovery period.”
Cym Lowell "was born in Montana to academics and spent his youth traveling the world. To put it politely, he was an undistinguished student, rewarded with assignment to the U.S. Navy at 18. After two years in Vietnam, college and law school were a challenge. Being a veteran in the political turbulence of the late 1960s and early 1970s taught humility. Raising three children in the Midwest and Texas brought love and responsibility. An international tax practice in the financial crises of the past 40 years provided insight into motivations of actors on the global stage. Friends, clients, adversaries, and colleagues, like victory and defeat, added color and context. The result is a writer with a treasure trove of experience to frame compelling characters enmeshed in heart-thumping challenges." Cym Lowell is the author of The Gift, Riddle of Berlin and Jaspar's War.
