: Many spiritual traditions are shrouded in secrecy, for various reasons. Some secrets become revealed upon initiation or upon reaching a certain degree. Some secrets seem only to maintain the power of the person possessing the secret. Too much secrecy in some traditions have led to much problems as peoples minds conjure up all sorts of evil deeds that you must be up to if they don't understand your ways. Tonight we will talk about some of the good secrets, the bad secrets, the silly secrets. We welcome your calls, tell us all your secrets.

In this show I found a recording of NFL great Ray Lewis talking to some young basketball students about having the GRIND every single day. Here are some other words of wisdom from Ray Lewis:
“Every day of my life, I’m trying to find a different way to get better.”
“Nobody’s as serious about health and fitness as me, and staying fit is my top priority.”
“What makes you grind? You have to always be chasing something.”
“In any war, you put your back to mine, I put my back to yours, and let’s do what we gotta do.”
“You’ve got to go out and show them that I’m a different creature now, then I was five minutes ago, cause I’m pissed off for greatness. Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre.”
“My pain is my badge of honor.”
“The greatest opportunity in the world is found here today… We already know what yesterday has got for us. It’s already gone. Tomorrow, too far away. What about right now!”
“I prepare so no one can take what is mine, no one can replace my mind, my heart.”
“You take five fingers. Individually, I can pin any one of them, but if I pin them together (makes a fist), it’s damn near impossible to turn this around.”
“You have to get back to being kids again. You can’t never get tired. I have something burning inside me. I am a kid all over again.”
“The day you think you can beat me, show me. Then move on to the next challenge.”
“All I know is grind.”
“In any war who pulls their general out? No one.”

On this episode of The Freak Show, Ryan and Holly are joined by Josh Detwiler of Translating Phantoms.
Ever since I was a little kid I’ve always been into the paranormal. I can remember watching shows like Unsolved Mysteries and my favorite episodes were always the ones about ghosts and UFOs. Even though they scared the crap out of me, I couldn’t stop watching. The question of “do ghosts exist” has never really been a question for me. I have always believed. Growing up I played a lot of sports, I was involved in things that were more “the norm” for most people, but I was always drawn to the paranormal, it was always in the back of my mind. My teachers would get frustrated with me because the only books I wanted to read were things like Goosebumps and the Scary Stories series, I could never get into any of the books we were required to read. As I got older the paranormal still stuck with me, the ghost hunting shows started to pop up and I couldn’t help but watch them every time they were on. After watching those for so many years one day the thought just popped into my head that it was time to quit relying on TV and it was time to find out if this stuff was for real for myself, so I jumped in head first, investigating anywhere I thought could be haunted.
Now that I have years of investigating under my belt I do have some answers, but it seems the more I investigate the more questions I end up having. I always keep an open mind and remind myself every chance I get that even though I have my own opinions about the paranormal, I could be wrong. The only thing that is 100% fact in the paranormal is that nothing is 100% fact. None of us really know what is on the other side or what the other side really is. Always seek the truth and more importantly always question those who claim to have found it, trust no one, not even me, and research everything for yourself.

My guest originally scheduled fort his week on the Weekly johnmac Radio Show (Sunday night, January 29th, 7:00PM Eastern Time), Jack Minogue, had to re-schedule due to some physical throat complications. I was very lucky to be able to obtain Msgr. Thomas F. Sandi as a replacement guest on short notice. Msgr. Sandi was one of the early guests on the show, back in 2013, when he was the pastor of my local Roman Catholic parish, St. Elisabeth Ann Seton in Shrub Oak, NY. Msgr. Sandi, a product of the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx and a retired Air Force chaplain and Lt. Colonel, is now the administrator of Holy Trinity Parish in New York City. Topics will include the differences between life as a priest in the service, in a quasi-rural suburban parish, and a bustling New York City parish as well as the encyclical.. Msgr. Sandi was an interesting guest the first time around and I expect this show to be equally as good.

In this episode Drea will talk to Stephanie Ruper about her youtube show Stephanie's Stories and Crafts on June 28th at 7pm eastern time!
About our guest: Stéphanie Rupe is an actor/writer living in Brooklyn, NY. Her latest project, "Stéph's Stories and Crafts", is a YouTube based web series for parents and kids 3-8. The crafts demonstrated on the show are designed to be easy enough for young kids to make with minimal help from their adult, as well as using or recycling materials many families will already have lying around the house. The stories are kid tested, mom approved. Featuring strong morals of kindness, bravery, and smarts. "Stéph's Stories and Crafts" is a passion project of Stéphanie's, inspired by one of her favorite kindergartners, who loves stories and crafts.
There was a song with a ballard by Evangelist Shirley Ceasar that was written a long time ago entitled "I Want My Soul To Be Saved. It went on to detail a kid that went to Sunday school and what he learned made him concerned about his soul's salvation. He had a hunger and a tirst for the Living God and when he got home he told his mom that he was hungry. She mistook his words for food hungry but the little boy was speaking of a soul hunger a hunger and a thirst of righteousness. A deep rooted hunger (which is in all of us) to know God. So that when she offered him a "Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich" his response was... "I don't want no "Peanut Butter and Jelly"... "I Want My SOUL to be SAVED!!!"
Our children turn to the drug of flocka and other drugs and sexual immoral acts because their parents are not spending the time to talk to their children and not at them. Show some interest in their sufferings and their struggles because they have issues and they need help to get through them. If you don't get them to the proper help that other help... the devil and his workers are more than ready to teach them their way. ... they need their souls to be saved!!!
