Pharma to Dharma: From Pharmaceuticals Back to Nature

    in Health

Today Nick & Dr. Joanna will be talking about her initiative called, "Pharma to Dharma: From Pharmaceuticals Back to Nature." The Wetsern model of quick fix medicine is just not working, for doctors and patients alike.  Patients are finally realizing that the "quick fix" really isn't giving them the desired result or cure that they are looking for, and doctors are starting to feel that this is not the way to truly practice medicine so that healing on all levels can be invited to occur.

Adverse Drug reactions are the 4th leading cause of death and pharmaceutical companies still continue to rake in billions by marketing and selling disease.  How do they do that?  By creating new diagnoses that fit into the effects of the drug that is already on the market, but that is usually close to patent expiration. This occurs particularly with psychotropics - drugs for anxiety, insomnia, depression and a variety of other psychiatric illnesses. Many people do not realize that sometimes the side effects of these drugs are exactly that which they are designed to treat.

How does the food industry fit in to all of this?  And it's supposedly monitored by the FDA.  But there's a reason it's called the F D A.

So what can we do as healthcare practitioners and consumers of medical care to combat the collusion amongst big pharma, medicine, the mainstream media, and the food industry to keep us fat, sick and dying? Find out in what promises to be a very interesting discussion.

Pharma to Dharma 4-hour Workshops on 17th & 21st May 2015 and will be offered regularly. See more on the Kalyana Centre homepage.

EFT - Tapping Through Your Blocks and Worries with EFT Universe's Dawson Church

    in Self Help

EFT means "Emotional Freedom Techniques" and is a powerful self-help method based on research showing that emotional trauma contributes greatly to disease. Clinical trials have shown that EFT tapping is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress.  Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing.

Dawson Church, PhD, has edited or authored many books, and collaborated with leading authorities including Larry Dossey, Bernie Siegel, Christiane Northrup, and others. His award-winning book, The Genie in Your Genes, pioneers the field of Epigenetics, explaining the remarkable self-healing mechanisms now emerging at the juncture of emotion and gene expression. He has authored numerous scientific studies through the Foundation for Epigenetic Medicine, and is the editor of Energy Psychology, a peer-reviewed journal. He shares how to apply these breakthroughs to health and athletic performance at EFT Universe, one of the largest alternative medicine sites on the web.

The new edition of the EFT Manual is authored by Dawson Church PhD, Executive Director of the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare, who has conducted many clinical trials of EFT. Says Church, “This comprehensive yet user-friendly version of the manual makes EFT understandable to the many medical professionals who are using it in primary care settings, as well as the millions of people who use it as a self-help practice.”

The book covers 48 distinct techniques used in Clinical EFT, the method used in research. EFT has been used successfully to remediate PTSD in veterans and other traumatized groups, and the new edition includes specialized “gentle” techniques for working with psychological trauma as well as physical diseases.
